I went out twice this weekend. Definitely a noticeable difference from last weekend as I wasn't as rusty and felt more relaxed.

On Friday i went to a country bar with two friends. I've been to this place a bunch of times and am quite comfortable with the dynamics there. I talked analytically with one of my friends for a bit when we first got there and jumped into set shortly after.

It was a group of three girls and one of them was pretty hot. I opened direct and they were cool. We chatted for a while as I focused mostly on the sub communication to see who was interested.

To my pleasure the hot girl was staring at me the most intently while the other two were sort of whatever. I invited my buddy over but he was being kind of weird so decided to eject and talk to him for a minute.

After sorting things out we hit up the dancefloor. While approaching on the dfloor is obviously very important I think it's good to enjoy yourself also while you're there. We turn it up a bit and start feeling pretty good.

I ended up doing a bunch of approaches on the dancefloor that night. They were ALL a positive experience. This isn't a "grinding" type environment so I was mostly focused on vibing with them and communicating non verbally. I didn't escalate to the point of actually dancing with any of them. I had pretty minimal approach anxiety and was trying to read the dynamics of the groups of girls to see which ones were actually approachable. I don't think that the "sarging" method would work well here.

The next night I was at a pretty strait hip hop place. The vibe was totally different from the country bar and I had a difficult time acclimating to it at first. This was totally a grinding style dancefloor and there was very little playful flirting going on. It was also totally packed shoulder to shoulder and there were a lot more guys there than girls.

It was one other friend and I there. He was being a bit of a space case which was kind of annoying me but i talked to him about it and he shaped up a bit. He also kept going to the bar for water and inevitably going to the washroom a lot. I also found this annoying but didn't say anything about it. Maybe I need to learn to not rely on a wing so much.

I did a few approaches that night but none of them were really noteworthy. I think the key to this type of dancefloor is being REALLY dominant. You pretty much just have to claim the girl. This is not only because of the vibe but also because there are so many guys there 😂. I'll admit I'm not so great at this type of game and I need to work on it. By the end of the night I was just opening by tapping on them and putting my hands out to see if they would reciprocate. I'm going to refine this method further.

Before leaving I talked to some people at the smokers line. Something I noticed which I was happy with was that when I was just standing there I started loudly singing the song that was audible from inside the club. I never would have done this in the past and it worked really well. Everyone looked over at me and I sparked up a conversation with some people. I ended up adding one of them on IG and we might go out sometime.

When I'm at the club now I really try and focus on how not big of a deal it is. I used to let the loud music, pretty girls and people shouting intimidate me, but now I just realize that it's all no big deal. Doing this helps me stay relaxed and in control of the situation.
