Night starts at a buddy place, everyone's pre drinking and everyone is having a good time. We had two girls with us, one (referred to as A) refusing to dance with anyone because she is 'taken' and the other is a really huge ball buster. No worries, thought I'd try to have a good time with them, and split off at the club.

We hit up a club, it's packed. It's definitely an older crowd, which is a good for me and the two wings I'm with, so I'm stoked. Once we get in, I some how get stuck into a huge conversation with 'A' about her new boyfriend while a couple of my wings get out and start opening a handful of sets.

I realized at this point, I'm on my own for this night, and It's a little unsettling. I find our other friends and leave 'A' with them while I try out a couple sets. I open a few sets, just saying hello and talking about the night, something simple. Nothing much brews from them. At this point, I'm pretty much soloing this club and I never really experienced this. I try to find my wings, and I find one of them. I tell him lets open this 4 set (they are a bridal party). He ditches me like 5 seconds in and I'm stuck with 4 of these girls. No worries, the set was decent. The bridesmaid wanted me to get the bride a shot, and I was playfully trying to turn it around. Didn't work so well, but I thought it was hilarious at the time.

Then I run into both my wings again, and the one who has a girlfriend talks about how amazing his sets have been and says how easy it is. I'm kind of frustrated at this point since this guy has a girlfriend so he is oozing with confidence. And i'm having difficulties with my sets

I try to let this ride off my back, but I can't. I have probably the two shittest wings of the night, and I let it get to my head. I'm frustrated at this point, so I write off my night. I leave, get into my car and head home.

I went full out AFC this night, and I'm a little frustrated I let my outcome dependence become a #1 priority. I realized I just have to have fun, instead of trying to get as many closes possible. I gave up too early, but I definitely learned not to rely on someone to help me open sets. Especially guys who have girlfriends, they are probably the worst wingmen ever.
