Hey guys, my first field report so please critique me! 21 in college if that matters.

I went to the bars on Sunday (Monday was holiday) with my 2 friends. Wasn't really in the pick-up mindset because my friends don't really understand the appeal, was more there to just chill and have a few drinks. One friend saw some of his teammates and drifted off with them, so me and my other friend sat at the bar for ~hour playing keno (gambling game) and talking.

Girl comes up to my right to order a drink and apologizes for getting in my way. I give her some shit for it and then she asks me for a drink suggestion (IOI). I tell her to get something fruity and let me have a sip. At this point my friend leaves to the bathroom and she takes a seat. I neg her a little bit more about stealing his seat.

At this point I start kino, leg/back touching and conversation is flowing, she was super easy to talk to, and definitely into me. At some point her friends came and talked to her and I made sure to introduce myself to get to know them a little. They leave and convo continues. We find out we live a 5 minute walk from each other (booya). My friend comes back (like 20 minutes later) and says he found some other people and is gonna hang with them.

Bar starts closing down, her friends come to get her and she asks if I wanna come over and see her cat and hermit crabs. I obviously accept and get a ride home with her friends. Shoot the shit with her friends on the ride back and they all seem to like me.

Get home and go to her room, we talked for a really long time, like an hour, before I made a move. I feel like this is way too long but the conversation was really good and I feel like it built up attraction even more. She had pulled out Netflix and said "ok what are we gonna watch" and I said "I kinda just wanna make out with you instead" and went for it. Sex was awesome, slept over and walked home the next morning after getting her number.

My reflection on the night: I'm still a huge newbie and cold approaching is still pretty scary to me. So honestly I think this kind of fell into my lap, seeing as how I didn't have to cold approach, and she initiated going back to her place. Nonetheless I'm proud of myself because I feel like once I was in the situation I was able to apply a lot of what I've read here, and it built up my confidence a lot.
