Hey seddit,

I'm a 19-year old male and I got out of my first LTR about a month ago. Being aware of the pick-up community, I decided that this is a great time in my life to practice seduction and improve my general social skills.

During the last weeks and especially after watching Deangelo's Man Transformation on youtube, I really wanted to try some things but I could never find the right time or place to do so. I managed to talked to some strangers but that was it, until today.

So I was in a protest with some friends and here I see a HB8 with amazing blue eyes in the crowd. Of course approaching her seemed completely out of the question. However, about half an hour later the crowd starts moving and suddenly I see her right next to me. I am talking with my friends and I am in a great mood but I have this feeling in my chest, I want to talk to her so bad but I don't know what to say.

Finally, after a while I manage to talk to her and her friends about how they are not paying any attention to the protest and they are just bored. They laugh a bit but they don't seem to be willing to continue a conversation. At that point I am happy that I made a move but I also really want to try more.

Lucky for me, my friends leave to find some other people and I stay alone with her and her friends. While I am thinking that this was it and I can't do anything else, she bumps into me and apologizes. Without any thought I tell her:

Me: "Hey no problem. Which university do you attend? I haven't seen you around!"

Her: "I'm not in my_university. My sister(points at sister) attends there. I attend at her_university"

Me: "Oh that's why! What are you studying there?"

She tells me some things about her studies and I discover that she's 19 too.

Me: "I'm my_name!"

Her: "Nice to meet you! I'm her_name!"

Akward(?) silence as we keep walking. During that time she talks a bit with her friends and I talk to mine.

After 5 minutes or so the protest is ending so I touch her back and tell her "it was nice meeting you, I have to go!" and leave.

I didn't really consider trying to #close because I think the conversation was too short and I would stand a chance. I believe that my main mistake is not asking her anything about her sister but I wasn't really thinking before I spoke.

Any comments will be greatly appreciated!

PS. Sorry for any grammatical mistakes, I'm not a native English speaker and I tried my best to create an easy to read report.

Edit: Thank you for all the replies! I will try to post any new attempts at approaching as long as they're interesting!
