Class was let out early, before going home to study I decided to wander around campus and look for any girls I could approach. I spot one sitting down with her laptop. I hesitate a bit but eventually go over. I smile and gently wave at her, she takes her headphones out. "Hey I don't usually do this, but I think you're really pretty." She smiles, seemed surprised, almost like she was blushing. "I'm gtrman" as I hold my hand out. She shakes it and tells me her name. I tell her she looks Latina, she smiles and says she is. I tell her I like Latinas, because they can help me with my Spanish homework, she laughs. I ask her if she's fluent, she says kind of. "Oh so you're like a poser Latina" teasing her and she laughs more. She tells me she's learning how to say the slang words of Spanish, "oh so like the urban dictionary stuff" smiling. I ask what her major is and where she's from blah blah blah. She asks where I'm from, I say "California but don't hate me ok?" she laughs again. I ask her to tell me something that would surprise me about her. She says she doesn't know and that she's boring. She tells me that I should go first. I tell her that I play guitar and that I have a youtube channel. I joke "yeah I'm like super famous, you should be asking for my autograph right now" haha. She laughs and asks me what it is. I tell her and she goes to youtube to type it in, I take this as an invitation to sit down beside her. I show her my channel and a couple videos, she says I'm pretty good. I tell her that I got a degree in music already and joked that I found out too late that it didn't help me a whole lot which is why I'm back in school again. I ask if she knows a nearby beer/coffee garden joint, she knows of it! I give her a high five for knowing it. Yeah it's a cool joint I say, "I wanna take you there" I say. She says ok and I pull out my phone. I joke with her "hey now only put this in here if you're at least like 40% down to hangout". She laughs, and then says "you're funny" :) - I hand her my phone and she types it in, she saves her name as a contact with 3 Latina salsa girl dancing emojis next to it. A good sign I thought. I take back my phone, put it back in my pocket, act like nothing happened and kept chatting with her. Eventually she says "ok well I gotta get back to studying for this test". "For sure" I say, and ask her what her schedule is like before leaving. I ask about the weekend, she says yeah but not until next weekend because she is busy. Ok I say. I shake her hand, say it was nice meeting her and peace out. Three hours later after studying a bit I text her "gtrman571 from school :)", 5 minutes later she texts back "Yo". Hmmm I thought, kinda dry... Maybe I'm overthinking it. Any thoughts or advice? I feel like I should text her just once a day bc if I don't I feel like she'll completely forget about me by the time we're supposed to meet up again. 10 days is a long time over like a 5 minute interaction.
