Hey all again, I just got from Fells Point, MD and I wanted to write up the FR while it was still fresh in my head.

  • Not really expecting much but to approach a few girls

I texted my friend that has been coming out with me more and more, he is the one from my previous FRs who has a lot of swagger that girls love around here. He was busy volunteering for something and wouldn't be home till late. He mentioned that he would meet me there but I had a feeling that he wasn't coming.

After taking a quick shower i threw on some gear and left my place. I rolled up to Fells point at a little after midnight and parked my car in the garage they have around there. It makes the bars really easily accessible parking here so it's the best spot. I briskly walked out the parking garage and made sure I was looking decent. I decided that since I was going solo again it would be best to start at the first "dancey" bar that was close by and work my way down the pier and double back when I was ready to start heading home.

Arriving at this bar it was pretty upbeat and energetic, lots of people dancing since it has a really large dance floor and the vibe was decently happy. I ordered a beer and just started to try and loosen up a bit. For some reason I was not in the mood to talk really, and the girls in here did not catch my eye at all. Some of them were married and the rest had their boyfriends with them. There were a lot of very tall girls in here too, i'm talking 5'11-6'2. I talk to girls taller than me sometimes but I wasn't in the mood to deal with the height difference tonight.

I stood in the corner of this bar and just people watched, the DJ was kind of lame but people seemed to be enjoying it. I caught a couple of glances from girls here and there but nothing really caught my eye. After I finished my beer I decided to leave, not before getting a face full of some chicks hair. She decided to do that whip thing to straighten out her hair and slapped me with it. She apologized and I kept making my way out.

While walking down the street to the next bar I was checking out the crowd tonight, it was pretty decent. Some good looking girls, but mostly your typical Baltimore girls, which is average or below. When I arrived at the next bar it was jam freaking packed with people. I thought that this would be a good place to start to talk and be more social. I showed my ID and walked in parting the sea of people, some decent looking girls in here but a live band was playing and it was too damn loud to hear anything so I didn't waste my time. This place has an upstairs bar which functions as a smaller/quieter place to overlook the downstairs bar and just chat.

After walking up the stairs I noticed that it was still really crowded but a tad bit more room. I also noticed more groupings of girls about 4-5 per group in their own little circles. I didn't approach them yet as I wanted to take in the vibe for a little bit. I made my way to the back of this area when I heard from the direction I was going "MY BROTHAAAAA!" I look around and see a tall black dude calling me over and giving me a handshake. I'm a black guy and their were mostly white people in this bar. So we started chatting about how "we needed to stick together" and basically just joked around. This guy had a really unique name so let's call him "Danny." This guy was their with 3 of his friends, they were roommates and all went to school together from PA. They just moved into the area and were exploring.

We talked for a few minutes but it was getting hot as shit up here so I went to grab a water. Once I got a water from the mini-bar I turned to talk to a grouping of girls that were near me. They were alright in looks but didn't stop talking to each other so I just went "Excuse me, hey there, sorry to interrupted" and introduced myself. They were in a much larger group than I anticipated and there was even a cute Asian girl in this group. But she was a bit drunk and seemed like one of those loud in your face drunks so I left her alone mostly. Her friends were cool but the other girls weren't giving me any vibes at all. Nothing negative, but a lot of awkward silences and to top it off I jumped into the middle of their conversation. They were honestly cool with it so kudos to them. I ejected out of this set after a couple of minutes since I wasn't really feeling anything from them.

While walking back to Danny and his group, the bouncers came up and started to kick people out since the bar was closing. We all made our way downstairs and I walked out deciding on the next bar to go to, as I made my way to the next bar I ran into Danny and his group again. I thought I left first but somehow they got in front of me on the block. We struck up conversation again and talked about how they were so new they didn't know where to go. I offered to tour guide for them a bit and they started to follow me while asking questions the whole way. We went into another bar that had a dance floor and I offered to buy all of them drinks, I like to be nice to folks who are new in town and I wanted some good karma too haha.

They of course accepted and we were scouting out girls to talk to, Danny already struck up a convo with some girls who I believe approached him first but I wasn't paying attention so I'm not sure. There was a cutie at the bar that I approached but she rejected me right away. I didn't get a hard "No" so I stayed in the set for as long as I could before the vibe from her turned into more of a "go away" kind of thing, so i shook her hand and said "bye." Some old school songs came on that everyone (me included) danced to and I started actually enjoying myself in this place. I noticed a girl on the other side of the dance floor and her friend. Both of them were really cute so I walked on over. As I made my way over another guy literally ran past me and approached them first. He was rejected outright by the both of them and he walked away. They looked a bit disgusted after interacting with him so I felt it was a bad time for me to go up to them myself. I let that set go completely. After a few more songs I felt that we should go check out some other bars.

Danny and his crew made their way back to the front, he and I approached a couple of cuties at the front of the bar who were sitting in their own little clique. They were decently receptive but they let the conversation keep dying. So we decided to pull out and head somewhere else. I don't know what it is about Baltimore but the bars close so damn early here, most of the bars were closed or were only letting girls in. We go to the last bar on the block and they were on last call. We walked in and the place is pretty sparse in terms of people but we just stayed for a bit. There were some cute girls here and there but the most noteworthy ones were these 2 girls sitting at the middle bar table. Danny and his crew got a bit split up as some went to the bathroom and the other guy went to the bar for a drink.

I approached the 2 girls at the table and they were very receptive, ones name was Katie, the other was Taylor. Katie was a slim short white girl with nice blue eyes. Taylor was a bit overweight but it looked like she was trying to hit the gym a bit. She was nice enough so I talked to both of them as to not cause Taylor to throw salt in my game. Katie was giving me very good eye contact and was holding it too, we had a pretty good conversation going and I Kino'd her a bit. I also included Taylor every now and then so she wouldn't feel left out. To be honest she was doing an extremely good job of not getting in my way, in fact she stayed quiet most of the time.

Katie and I continued talking and the conversation got pretty energetic with jokes here and there along with some in depth stuff that caused her eyebrows to perk up a bit. She was interested! BUT right when the convo started getting better, the other 4 guys that I was touring around came back all together. I introduced them and all of us started talking more, Katie's attention shot straight to Danny and she started to talk to him. I didn't want to interrupt so I let them talk for a little while, then she started to talk to the other guys. It was around this time when the bartenders kicked us out of the main area and let us chill on the patio tables to talk more and hangout.

All of us talked more and it was a chill conversation, eventually after another 15 minutes or so the bouncers officially closed the bar and we were back on the street. Katie mentioned that her and Taylor were going to go home, I asked for her number and gave her my phone to put it in. She gladly obliged, i turned for a second to see if the other guys were leaving and when I did I saw Katie's gaze shoot straight to Danny and she murmured something to Taylor I think it was "He is cute" or something like that, I can sort of read lips lol.

At this point he gave her his number and so did the rest of the guys, I hugged her goodbye and we started to leave. My parking garage was in the same direction they were walking but it was across the street. As we split off from each other 2 of the guys from the group left leaving Danny and his buzzed friend with the girls. They walked in the same direction together, and all I could think to myself was "Dammit, of fucking course..." I don't like cockblocking dudes, so i just let it go and made my way into the parking garage. I am going to text Katie tomorrow but I already know how it's going to go. She is either going to ignore it, or say something like "i'm not looking for a relationship blah blah blah." All in all I learned a lot and I'm glad I made some more approaches. I honestly feel like I am getting better at night-gaming, I find it significantly easier to talk to girls at the bars than from when I first started, feels way simpler now!

New Rule: When I go out solo in Baltimore I will not get guys I don't know to wing for me. They will stomp the shit out of your sets and take it for their own.

UPDATE: Got ghosted, sent her a text earlier today and getting nothing back. We are friends on snapchat too and she is sending snaps (to her story)/chilling but no response for me. Oh well, NEXT!
