I get the 'assume attraction' spirit oft the sub, but I'm operating in a professional environment and need to discern existing 'signs of interest' to avoid potential cringe and confusion.

So to my question: how touchy are girls with men platonically? I understand that pats on the shoulder might be a buddy-buddy thing while you're telling jokes, but what about a girl intentionally touching a guys waist 'platonically'?

Where I work there is some poking and light shoulder punching that seems to be platonic, but I had a girl touch my lower back/waist . I was facing away and working on some stuff-- I felt a hand squeezing my 'love handle' (my waist is only 30inches, tho) and her fingers sliding off my lower back... I turned my head and saw her leaving.

Basing this off myself, I would only be drawn to do this to a girl I find cute or hot, doesn't really have to be someone I' have 'feelings for' or intend to date, but it has to be someone sexually appealing to me to make me want to touch them on that part of the body unnecessarily.

Do girls have the same motivations, or are they socialized differently?
