DISCLAIMER: I’d like to state that I do not go after girls if they have boyfriends. For me it’s just morally.. not right. The grey area to this is if you meet a girl who’s in an unhappy relationship and she’s going to cheat on him anyway and she’s coming on to you. Then you know, like your choice. (But don’t keep her around, she could do the same to you!)

I have many female friends who have boyfriends. I won’t actively ‘try get’ them, but at the same time being “just friends” with a girl, especially an attractive one, isn’t natural for me and probably a lot of you guys either.

So this means the usual teasing, touching, etc. Girls with boyfriends will do it, but it’s a subconscious attraction thing, it doesn’t mean they’re going to cheat on him. You can’t decide who you’re attracted to and girls will show these IOI’s just because it’s natural. They don’t mean anything by it.

So of course this light banter is going to be natural between a guy/girl, but I find myself consciously having to stop myself from going past that line into having intent in my actions. This is basically just staying away from sexual convo and strong compliments and whatnot.

Obviously you don’t want to set off red flags in the girls mind, but you don’t want to limit your personality being careful of what you say Incase you get too intense for a girl that literally can’t reciprocate. You don’t want to ruin the friendship.

My question for you guys who find yourselves in similar situations, where do you draw the line? Do you even have a line? If you naturally get mutual sexual interest with your female friends are you as conscious about not saying something too out there if they have a boyfriend?

I’d love some of your inputs! Thanks.

(And before anyone says “talk to girls who don’t have boyfriends”, Yes I agree. But dropping preexisting friendships because they have boyfriends is stupid. You don’t have to need to get in the pants of every girl you interact with.)
