Negging is way overrated. You sometimes need it when you're talking to a superhottie who views herself as above your level, other than that, forget about it.

Negging is not the current tech. The originator (Mystery) has expanded it and now calls it "disqualification." The goal is not to give the woman a backhanded compliment, or an insult. The goal is to let the woman know you have disqualified yourself, you are clearl not someone who is interested in hitting on her. So now, instead of "nice fingernails, are they real?" as the Neg model, we have "You and I would never get along." or "You should avoid me, I'm toxic" or "you'd be just my type if I wasn't gay" as "false disqualifiers."

The advantages of disqualifers is obvious. Negs are only for the most beautiful HBs (that's why the early PUA material focuses on HBs) who need to have their social value taken down a notch before they are approachable. Disqualifiers work on more women, not just the hottest ones.

Purge the word "neg" from your brain. You can tease, kid, rib, josh, joke, or flirt, but don't neg.

This is one of the most misunderstood concepts in all of male-female interaction, and rarely does anyone apply it successfully until they've got all the other parts of their game down solid.
