The techniques in itself won't work. You have to internalize them and incorporate them into your own personality as you develop your self confidence

Yes. But PUA skills and techniques are really just a tool for changing your beliefs and mindsets.

For example, I didn't use to believe you could run up to girls in the street and get their phone numbers. Practicing these 'techniques' has enabled me to do it - but all I really did was gain the belief that it is possible.

Of course they work. But you get out of it only what you put into it.

Of course you don't think they will work. That's why you need it. What you think works, doesn't work. You need to retrain yourself.

100% It works. We are all different so the same programme or set of abilities are not going to work for everyone. I started over 8 years ago when i was 165kg. Mega fat. I learnt a few "tricks and tips" and used them but what really happened is my perception of reality changed. The "tricks and tips" just gave me tools to gain the correct mental attitude and build confidence. I started as a fat computer art nerd and now Im a dating coach.

Pickup has been given a bad rap and I'm not surprised guys are hesitant to try it out. Goofy magic tricks and guys trying to hypnotise girls did not help at all. At its core there are ideas and concepts that will radically shift your opinions and help you on your journey of self development. There are many great schools out there. Hundreds of great books and loads of dating coaches to choose from.

My advice comes from Bruce Lee: - 'Adapt what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is specifically your own.'

There are lots of suggestions and techniques that can help you get from A to B smoothly. So in that way, tactics have helped guys.

But you want to be more focussed on improving yourself as a whole, becoming more attractive, than you're concerned with tactics.

To get a girl you really want to be with, you have to become the man you really want to be... not just imitate the words of a guy who's slept with a few more women than you.

All these tactics, theory, etc here are really trying to do is make you think of yourself as a boss and act accordingly. The specifics of any of it is irrelevant; just crutches to give you something to stand on when you don't trust yourself to do what you need to do yet.
