Hello seddit, two days ago I had some texting with a girl I like and invited her on a date and she said yes! Now, I just only want your help to evaluate my interaction with her (and my way of thinking) so you can help me to improve for the future. Here's how it all went:

Me: Sent her some funny picture about how I feel (I was sick) - I did this to set a funny/relaxed mood before my proposal.

Her: *Laughs

Me: "Hey :)"

Me: "Let's go on a date. You got three options:

(A) Yes (B) A (C) B" - I did this so I show myself like I'm funny and outcome independent.

Her: *Laughs and a bunch of laughing emoticons.

Me: "So, what do you say? Don't let me hanging"

Her: "Do I have another option? :P" - I thought she was just testing my frame /teasing me. So I told her:

Me: "It's up to you babe ;)" - Again outcome independent.

Her: "Where are we going?" - I thought she just honestly wanted to know where I would take her. Also to know how she would dress. But anyways I just mocked her:

Me: Ow Wait! What is that? So if I took you to a cheap place you say no to me? *broken heart icon.

Her: I like to eat on cheap places. - I thought she was qualifying herself. Good indication.

Me: Vaguely told her the plan. "Nothing to fancy just some ice cream and talk. Let's see what comes after that." - I wanted to keep some mystery.

Her: OK!

Me: Told her the day and hour and that was it. After that I totally changed the conversation to low the tension a bit.

So what do you guys say about the way I handled this and my way of thinking? I'd like to know if I'm starting to pick up all the things you have taught me in this subreddit. Thanks!
