Sorry if I don't get the lingo right; it's my first post here.

So, my best friend and I are regulars at this college dive bar by his place and over the last month or so i have been hitting on the bartender with somewhere near 80% success. I have a habit of making unintentionally awkward small talk.

The second time I made an effort to hit on her she gave me her number at closing time. Since then I went from maybe a little over confident talking to anyone who will listen to nervously wondering why I can't get my shit together and get a date with her. Normally I get approached about once a night there but now I'm just letting these girls down easy to score points with the bartender.

So enough with the worries heres the facts: -I live no where near the bar (I stay on my buddies couch when we go there) -Every once in a while she gives me a hired gun vibe. "Hey are you coming in tonight?" On nights shes working. -Shes always sober all night while i get progressively less charming. -I'm too broke to go on a date.

I'm 99% sure she's into me. She invited me out to the bar she was at about an hour before closing but I was 2 hours and a tank of gas away. I realize most of this is nerves but I can't think of a way to close when shes sober at closing time and I'm drunk. Any tips out there?
