It does seem a little harsh, but it'll be incredibly reassuring to her, without sounding dishonest or like you're only telling her what you think she wants to hear.

girls are insecure as shit, you can tell them stuff like "oh you're not fat!" and they'll think you're lying and being a dick. Just go with it, if she isn't really fat you can make fun of her something like "yeah better cut down on the cheetos porky!" or "yeah you practically take up most of the area of this bar/club".. something stupid. Believe it or not they'll actually think you're being "real" with them and they'd appreciate it more than if you tried to say otherwise.

a lot of people might think this is being a dbag or too gamey but it's just wrong, it's such an attention whore comment and on a deeper level she wants to see how you react. chump move would be to tell her she's not fat.. because on some level you're saying that because you don't want her to disprove of you.

Remind her that when she thinks she's not thin/sexy/pretty enough, that means she is well trained and totally supporting the very bullshit propaganda that is still presently oppressing her entire gender.

Remind her that the beauty pageant was invented in 1921, just after women gained the right to vote, in an effort to 'reshift women's priorities', and the cosmetics and beauty product industry has been rolling in dough ever since.

It depends on the girl. If she's not actually fat and is using it to get attention... Turn it around on her, in a funny way, "cough you said it. Not me" with a smirk on your face.

I have just recently started reading seddit, but am a 40 year old male who I guess you would call a "natural". (it's funny, I came here simply to get a chuckle from the whole "pick-up" aspect (on the surface seemed ridiculous to me), and ended up realizing that tactics that I realized years ago work (and thought I had come up with), actually have names, and are discussed openly on here.)

I like sex, and "closing" quickly (not necessarily sex that night, but definitely laying the groundwork for it sooner than later). I am naturally very sexual, and tend to always turn the conversations towards sex. Typically in such a way that it either seems like it was an accident, or was HER intention. So the convo might go like this.

-"Do you think I'm fat" (or "I'm so fat" etc)

-"Oh my GOD...I'm on to you! I just figured you out. It all makes sense now. You're trying to sleep with me"

-"WHAT!? LOL And exactly HOW did you come to THAT conclusion?"

-"You mean besides the fact you've been looking at me like I'm a piece of meat all night? lol (btw this is all said in a semi-joking, cocky/funny way). Well, I could be talking to anyone in here, and I am talking with you. I don't believe you think for a minute that I would be spending my evening talking with someone who A) I wasn't attracted to, and interested in, and B) suffers from such low self esteem that they need constant reassuring. Therefor I can logically conclude that your question was a loaded question, with the simple intent of trying to get me to think about your body."

-"LMAO You're crazy!! So you think the only reason I am talking with you is because I want to sleep with you".

-"I didn't say the "ONLY REASON". And don't get me wrong, I'm not mad at you for it. However, I think now is the time that I should tell you that it's not going to happen. Sorry. Not tonight anyway. I don't just throw my flower around to just any girl, even if she is good at spitting game at me. Just because you're good at using a little psychology to try and get me to picture you naked isn't going to be enough to convince me to give it up easily".

I don't know if this sort of strategy is even a thing, but it is very typical of how my conversations go with girls. And having faced the "Do you think I'm pretty/fat/skinny/ugly question a ton of times, I know for a fact (at least for me) that this approach not only avoids the pitfall of the question, you end up steering the conversation to such a point to where she ends up arguing that she isn't just trying to sleep with you (which I guarantee is new territory for her as far as conversations go)

Anyway, what I do if a girl starts to make shallow statements:

Simply pretend she never said anything and continue talking about what you want to talk about. Proves that you don't care and that you are comfortable in both your own and her skin.

PS: It's usually a shittest - meaning you should give some shit back to prove you aren't one of the beta males wandering around trying to pick up chicks.

Confront her about it. Turn it around on her. Ask her, "Well, do you think you're fat?" if her answers no, then say "Well there you go"

Something along those lines. Just bring an air of confidence to the table, whatever it is you do.

There are three choices. Firstly, you can compliment her. Don't do that. Secondly, you can agree and amplify. Tell her how humongous she is. Depending on the girl, this could end well or terribly. You need to be playful about it and have a fair degree of rapport with the girl. If not, you're going to come off as an asshole. When in doubt, just ignore and keep talking about something else.
