How do transition numbers into dates?

Your supposed to plan out the date and get her to agree than get her number.

Texting is for logistics only. The only texts you should me sending and receiving are like

"I'm here"

"I'm in the lobby"

"I'm parking now"

Etc.

I usually don’t I ask. I just say something like “Let’s grab a drink Friday night” or “Meet me for a drink this weekend” I’ve only been back in the market for about a month now but have scored a handful of dates with very cute girls. Made the mistake of constantly texting with one of them. Don’t do this. Like the seasoned guys on this sub say - logistics only, maybe a semi-flirty Snapchat here and there. If the dates a week or so out - I might send her a random text mid-week saying something like “Hey, hope your having a good day - see you Thursday” (or something along those lines).

Don’t wait long to ask her out after getting her digits. I usually propose a date within the first 5 or 6 text exchanges. This way you cut to the chase and get to what your actually on tinder for. To date - and you eliminate wasting any of your time because you find out if she’s down for a date or not. If not - next.

Like /u/GameandGains is saying, you want to plan the date with her and only get the number as a formality. The best text game is not texting. That's how they did it before cell phones, and a girl is much more willing to plan a date in person ,where you can feel out her reaction, rather than over the phone where flaking has no consequence.

The only time you should be getting the number without the date is in quick sets, like on the bus or stopping a girl walking to class/work/whatever. In that case, just say "We should get coffee/drinks/food sometime, why don't I get your number?" and text her a few days later. Even then, it should follow a short but formal structure. Something like:

Hello/What's up?
Short Greeting
Asking if she's busy tomorrow/on the weekend
Planning a date

And never ask the girl, tell her. Instead of "Hey wanna go eat?", say "Let's go to eat at [restaurant] at [time]."

Im having difficulty with this too, as in girls either say maybe or ghost after I bring up the date. I dont ask for it, I suggest it. Ive tried it after messaging a couple days and Ive tried it within 10 messages. Usually I suggest coffee. I do notice if its short notice they freak out, so I try to plan it for that week. Of course with online dating you want to get them in person but its like they dont take it as seriously. Ive learned to watch her actions, even if they are invested they still wont show up or flake. Dont waste your time with the ones that dont bother. I guess we have to keep looking until we find one that says yes...

You don't need to pray, man. You just need to be firm, direct, and playful.

You: "Hey, Sheila. Let's grab drinks at Bar X, 9pm tomorrow."

Her: "Not Sheila. Wrong number."

You: "Oh. Well forget Sheila, you sound more fun."

Or just go the simple route:

You: "Hey Sarah, lets do drinks at bar x, 9pm tomorrow."
