I suffer the same thing. But there is nothing wrong with saying hi, just remember that if you do say hi - you have to do 90% of the talking. If you see she is getting increasingly agitated you can leave politely if you are wanting to be respectful of her space.

And before someone wants to say "That's beta", not all men want to merely ruin every woman's peace just because we want to "pick up"

When you have disordered anxiety your brain will try to come up with explanations for it, hence the thoughts like "maybe she wants to talk to someone else more" etc. You have to make a willful conscious effort to remind yourself that the anxiety is just a physiological experience, that it's your brain having a minor malfunction and setting off mechanisms like elevated heart rate, sweating and other nervous system changes of the fight/flight response. You don't have to give it a reason. You just have to bear it until it passes.

This is a symptom of not thinking very highly of yourself and the value you can create. Look at it this way. Let's say there was a girl you really liked. And you happened to be in the same room with her as someone you really admire. Like the person in the world you are most crazy about, whether it be a celebrity, your favorite author, sportsman, whatever. You think this person is the coolest person in the world. Would you have any issues introducing someone who is that cool to our girl? Probably not, because you'd think she is lucky to be able to meet someone as cool as that.

Well, be that cool person.
