How do you ask out girls in dance classes without coming off as a creep?

In the same boat, I take bachata lessons and thinking of going to salsa. Make friends and talk to BOTH THE GUYS AND THE GIRLS. very important point if you don't wanna come off as a creep. Go for regular social dances, they usually take place on weekday nights and weekend nights as well. Get the girls numbers of the context of practising together at social dances and just making friends. In my city, there are socials everyday except for Wed and Saturday. So I invite the girls and guys to dinner before the social or after party dinner after socials.

Be the leader and take the initiative to lead. My say would be to build a social circle and run social circle game. There's no way you can be truly direct at the start and not come off as a creep.

So all in all, make friends with everyone and DANCE WITH EVERYONE. talk to the old lady, fat chick, old guy, make friends because they will introduce you to others if you're cool. Get their numbers on the context of inviting them to go for socials and having dinner before the class, after class dinner after party etc. Create whatsapp groups, run a bit of a long term game with the regulars. Make sure u find out who the influencers are so u can connect with them. They make a huge difference in building your network and social proofing for you. Simple, don't be the guy that is only there to creep on girls.

But it seems like most people advise against it, saying that trying to hit on girls in dance classes will immediately out you as perverted creep.

Most people? Who? Girls? we all know how good female advice is, especially when it comes to dating. Men? those either don't go dancing, or are those who also say "you are a creep for talking to a stranger!" type of jealous nice guys. I don't see anything against being a charming, attractive man, in a dancing class. You know what happens with charming and attractive men in such settings... They get to know women, they talk to them and sometimes they know "this girl is interested in meeting me" and then he asks.

The thing i am describing here is normal social dynamics. You are with people, you interact with people. If people like each other, they make plans. There is nothing creepy about it. What is creepy though, the guy that comes into such class (which is more like a myth) and then goes around hitting on all girls with something like "hey bitch, wanna fuck?" that is creepy, and this is what happens constantly in night game.

My advice is to not be such a creep, and to not give a fuck about such jealous bitchboys who say you can't do it. You can still be forward, but be also discreet about it. Best thing i could think of would be to dance with the girl and feel if there is chemistry between you and her. If there is, then get personal, get to know her and then ask her out.

I just started going to salsa dance classes too. I haven't really thought about asking anyone out yet though since I'd like to learn how to dance but I took some time to meet people and this one lady whose husband didn't dance gave me an impromptu lesson since I came in late.

My issue is just trying to stay cool since I sweat rather easily. I'm in a similar spot in shying away from past opportunities, but I simply wasn't ready and I think regretting that stuff is pointless since you can't go back. Just take notes.

most people? probably it's guys who say that because they are low key trying to smash too. This is more of a social circle game. You gotta show that you're cool and build social proof. Once you've been approved by the girls in the class then you can start hitting on whoever you want.

Never done any formal salsa dancing or for that matter any dancing. I love EDM festivals and how I initiate with a girl is pretty simple, oh it requires no talking either. Literally look to see if you and her make that flirtatious eye contact (clearly she notices you, and you notice her). Let that happen two or three times, the next time you make I contact hold your hand out, if she's interested she will take your hand. After that just lead, or whatever salsa classes taught you. (This has worked for me, but take into fact salsa dancing and EDM festivals are very different, plus people do a lot of acid, molly, coke, etc at these events so in general people tend to be more flirtatious or upfront with what they want.) This is definitely a common problem, I have asked this myself.

I do yoga. Feels good man.

I go in the front of the room to be closer to the instructor, not come off as a creep looking at ass, and to be more front and center. I have had women approach me after class and comment on my practice.

Otherwise you can compliment their practice and depending on how they respond strike up conversation.
