How do you explain a joke without ruining it?

what's wrong with you? you never explain jokes. what would you want to do that for ?

if she doesn't get it, so be it. if you're not compatible humourwise and it bothers you then she's not for you. if it doesn't bother you fine.

have some dignity. it seems like you are interpreting it as your fault that she doesn't get your joke. that's a bad attitude

So, you tell a joke, that is insanely funny, except for the fact that she doesn't get it.

Let me tell you this... It is making me always laugh when people state they are soooooo funny, but no one gets their jokes. What if i told you, your jokes might not be funny at all? I have had this many times in my life, and i tend to make simply crappy jokes sometimes, where girls tell me, and i quote: "i get that joke, but i have to say, you are just not funny."

Any advice on how to explain it/chance the subject/neg her, without making it into a boring, school class where you analyze the joke and tell her why it's funny?

Never explain. Change subject by simply talking about something different, and dont sweat it. Negging... nah... why would you punish her for not laughing at your unfunny joke? Are you that needy? At most state you are sometimes not funny, but you don't care, and change topics. Works for me everytime i am not funny, and that happens.

No! Never explain jokes! There are a lot of times when I'll make a joke and people don't get it, but I just treat it like nothing happened. Getting people to hang on your words is an art in itself. The more attentiveness you inspire, the more people will laugh at what you say (sometimes even if it isn't remotely funny).

Also never laugh at your own jokes. It took me a while to break that bad habit, but the rewards were amazing when I finally did.
