Of course kind, empathetic guys can get girls! They also have to create attraction before selflessly giving time, effort, or comfort to those girls. If she's not attracted to you when you're being nice to her, the being nice isn't going to make her want to date you.

Remember that attractiveness in men comes from power, sociability, and handsomeness. That translates into being perceived as strong, smart, wealthy, and overall capable; socially valuable, funny, and desired by other women; beautiful, fit, hygienic, and well-dressed. You don't have to be all of these things, but she has to perceive them about you in her own context.

Good old push and pull technique. Google it, you'll have plenty of ressources. Though you have to pull it off from the start, or you'll make a fool of yourself

Stop listening to their problems. Draw a line somewhere, because they have other forms of support for them.

Determine your goal for this relationship and stick to it. If you don't want to be seen as a "pleaser" which I kinda think is what you're getting at, then don't be a pleaser. It's okay to tell girls no.

I kinda just say what I’m thinking. I still listen but I’ll be blunt and leave if I think they’re not listening.

i think rsdmax said it pretty well by saying you need to put her on an emotional roller coaster. if you always give her positive emotions you're a nice guy. sometimes you have to tell her no and give her that negative feeling.

i am paraphrasing but that's the gist.
