Dont just dissappear. That leaves a whole lot more negative energy in the universe than you need to. You can tell them you dont feel the chemistry or something to that effect. It makes it nobodies fault

From recent experience (as a female bodied person) being clear with your intentions, and coming at it in a genuine level headed way is generally best. Dependent on the situation of course, though generally if you are swapping bodily floods with another human being, even if you see it in being pointless, 'the talk' doesnt have to be any more than respectfully expressing to another person that you dont want them to touch your genitals anymore. which is cool, because like, 99.9% of people wont let 99.9% of other people touch their genitals either.

try to break it off in such a way that you won't have to stand in opposite corners of the room if you see each other again.

"this isn't working" is a good suggestion. or something similar. you can do it over breakfast. phone is fine if you have only been on a couple dates. don't do it via text; they're too easily misinterpreted, and she'll think you're a bag of dicks (rather than just uninterested).

i have had a few super clingy/stalker types. after the initial attempt, they don't go away. for them give a firm "i don't want to talk to you", and then don't talk to them, unfriend on facebook, etc. keep them in your phone so you can tell it's them and ignore the call. do not ever respond, or it will take even longer for them to go away.

I'm the master of cutting ties, done it so often. The key is if you see them on a daily basis you have to break it lightly, if you don't and will never see them unless you choose to just tell them straight up. Make sure there aren't any mixed signals in both situations.

Just do what always works for me. I have a kid, I tell them I have a kid, they leave. Works every time.
