I think with old friends, you can take it slower. Follows the same patterns, flirt, kino, etc., but take it sloe. Make sure she's comfortable at all stages and that you don't scare off any of your friends. Be understanding if you get rejected.

I had the same problem, but I decide that i took too long to make a move, so I just stayed friends. Sometimes I wonder if I just stayed friends with her and didn't escalate because I was afraid of losing her. We flirt heavy.

It is much easier to go after someone you know than to run random club game. Just try to get to know someone better and add tons of Kino and eye contact to build sexual tension.

I totally agree with your analysis of the seddit-- the term "pick-up" would imply dealing with strangers and refers to a specific set of literature. Seduction, you'd expect, would mean all potential candidates. For some reason, old acquaintances and friends are a gaping blindspot for this subreddit and I find it at least as frustrating as you do.

I think the biggest difference between your interaction with shorty in question and most of PUA lit is that you already have pretty high comfort and I'm guessing you two could get some alone time pretty easily. I don't think she'd flake if you wanted to get coffee.

Another problem I have with reddit in general is the mythology surrounding the "so-called" friendzone. It sounds to me from your description that you are in the best of a friendship situation without the downsides. What I mean is that she knows your deal, if you will, (that you are or are not a serial killer, etc.) but you're still new, back on the radar, and interesting for that reason alone.

I advise you to friend-date her-- simple casual alone time. I'm not sure on your specifics, but my guess is that you can get her number and arrange to kick it without any of the considerations one does for bar-scene pickups.
