My question is about "social value" something that's talked about in Models. How important is this for women when it comes to attraction?

Reason being, I've found myself to be lacking in social value in recent years, I've drifted away from most friends, only really have 1 or 2 that I will only see maybe twice a month now. They don't really like to go out anymore either since they are in relationships themselves, and have found myself to be last single guy of the group.

I never really knew that many people growing up either, I always preferred to have a close knit group of friends rather than knowing everyone out there, so I was never really the popular guy.

As a result, I rarely get to go out with friends to parties, clubs, bars or anywhere where I can practice approaching (I'm still mustering up the courage to go out on my own). I've found that the girls I've recently met have large groups of friends and are seemingly into the guys who have a lot of friends, e.g. who post pics on Instagram with all their buddies having a great time at parties etc. Once even, I was trying to joking around with a girl when she was showing me a pic of her friends doing something to which she tried to put me down by saying something like "at least I have friends" can't remember the exact phrase.

So how important is it to attraction? Is this something I can actually work on? How?

edit: removed the word "neg", may have used out of context and some commentators are getting hung up on it. Still new to the lingo here sorry.
