How important openers are?

I think openers are important. It’s very situational and some are better than others. It’s possible to survive a bad opener but you have to be social enough to recover frkm it.

An opener really depends on girl and situation (and persons aying it). One of my friends is good at openers and what i noticed he never compliments the girl right away. He will notice any little thing and compliment it. If she has a shirt of a rapper he will go up to her and hype her up and now they are talking about rappers for 10-15 minutes. One time he saw college students and made a comment about them being too young to be drinking, and talked to them for like 30 minjtes.

Its not just about the line, its about delivery and execution. Ive noticed the bedt lines are the lines where you talk about an interest and not so much about you complimenting them on their appearance. But thats just me others may feel differently

Some people do it like this, some other people say do it like that.

As you can see the opener isn't the key to get to know the girl, ACTUALLY having the balls to say Hi to her is the most important thing you do.

If you would ask me i would recommend to be extremely direct when you approach a women on the street. Tell her why you approached her ( I saw you and just had to say hello because I find you very attractive, hey my name is... )

In the gym or club or whatever it's situational in my opinion. Listen to the other guys regarding their feedback.

Openers are old school tactics that in some cases they work in others they don't it really depends on the situation, girl and how you vibing deep down which helps. When you use them you got to make sure they are intriguing and definitely don't use old recycled shit cuz they've already been used on women over and over for years like the who cheats more opener. Definitely don't use that in the field.

Your openers are needy when you imply that you need to prove your worth or that you hope she gives you. a chance to prove yourself.

Needy openers:

“I’m not sure if a girl as pretty as you would talk to someone like me, but i had to try”

This is needy and shows your insecurity, it puts her on a massive pedestal and puts you as an inferior right away. The reason for that is not because you compliment her but because you doubt she would talk to you because you believe you are not on her equal level or that you are worthy enough for someone like her.

“I saw you and i think you are really cute, i hope you like me”

This is needy because it positions you right away as a chaser who has to prove his worth, rather than starting in either equal terms or from a position of being the evaluator in the interaction. (By evaluator i mean the one who has to see if she is good enough for you, rather than being the one who has to prove to the girl that you are good enough for her).

I know i’m not the most handsome guy, but i’m a good guy and i hope you give me a chance to prove it to you”.
“I know girls as pretty as you don’t usually go out with guys like me, but i hope you could make an exception with me and give me a chance to get to know each other because i would treat you really nice”

Now you know what is that makes it needy, it’s not that you are direct, it’s that you are establish a frame where you are not at her level and thus have to make merits to earn a chance with her or be her equal, as if you admit that you ain’t good enough by default and thus have to prove her your devotion, and how much you are willing to do just to be with her. That’s what’s needy.

Non needy approaches

”Hey I’m kinda on a rush, but i just noticed your style and i thought you it looks great on you, so i thought i want to get to know this girl before i go and see if her personality is just as great, what’s your name?”

In this opener, you are not framing the interaction as “i have to prove myself to you” instead you are actually doing the opposite, you have suggested that she has to show that her personality is as great as her looks meaning she has now the slight “pressure” to leave up to the hype. Now she is the one who has to prove to you that she is easy to talk to, fun, and whatever great means to you.

“_Hey, one question real quick, we are asking people whether they consider themselves easy to talk to and accesible with people_”

They are likely to say yes as they believe it’s a poll and want to look “good”, so if they say yes, you then say “_great that makes me wanna get to know you then, my name i s x nice to meet you_”. This doesn’t show neediness because you have test her first, she sold herself as being nice and easy to talk to, and as a result of that, you are now rewarding her with your attention.

If they said no, you cold still work with that and tease her “_yeah, you definitely give off the impression that someone here stole your cookies_” and improvise from there.
