I would just make sure that she's interested in what you're saying before you talk a lot. I'm no expert, though.

She should be talking at least as much as you if not more.

If she isn't you aren't asking enough/the right questions. You want to be a bit of a mystery whilst getting her to reveal stuff about herself. Generally I'd try to aim for a 70/30 ratio (her being the 70% ).

And if you want to avoid coming off too interested PUSH PULL! Seriously push pull is like the number one cheatsheet to keeping tension present.

Depends on whether or not the conversation is genuine and involving for both parties. I talk a lot. Like, I will hijack a conversation and just keep going for a while. However, if someone tries to say something I tend to stop immediately, look at them and say "What's that?" or some variation thereof.

I find if the woman is interested in what I'm saying, then it doesn't matter that I'm running my mouth. Just don't cut her off if she has something to say or give her the vibe you're with her to have someone to listen to you. Give her the impression you're enjoying your conversation, even if you're carrying it.

I would like to add that you shouldn't be afraid of pauses especially later in the interaction. Being comfortable with a pause shows confidence and it's the ideal opportunity to increase the sexual tension (keep eye contact during the pause). Also talk slowly and clearly

Interesting question.

I myself switch. If its a shy girl I am dealing with I talk more and smile more and talk about myself more and BS and ask less personal questions.

If the girl is a talker I either listen more, which is cool because I don't mind them talking or it becomes a 2 way.

You are over-thinking it. In the beginning of the pick-up I talk a lot and I just end up coming off as the talkative guy. It is also a bit of strategy of mine, keeps them more in a reactive mode, and allows me to lead the interaction a lot easier.

The further on I go in the pick-up (comfort and seduction) I let her talk a lot more.

Talk as little as you have to.

This will be different on a guy to guy basis, as well as what girls you're picking up.

If you can pull the silent type well then go for that. If you can't then don't.

Each girl will require a different level. You'll know if you've found a good girl though if conversation flows naturally and you aren't worried about this.

This is something that I have learned, it's not so much what you say, but what you make her say. Connect with her, then get to know her by means of open ended questions that make her talk about something personal that's she's passionate about; (here's the kicker) the more SHE talks, the more she'll think that YOU are a great conversationalist.
