How reliable is the feet point?

The whole "feet pointing to your direction" is mistakenly branded as a sign of interest. While it can indirectly mean a girl likes you, what it really means is that the girl is concentrated in you and is listening to what you say. It's one of the most reliable signs to look at when you want to see if someone is listening to you but it's definitely not reliable when it comes to liking you. You're telling one of your male friends an exciting story and they turn their entire body towards you. Are they gay for you? Of course not, They're listening to your story that's all.

And one last thing, you were never wrong with thinking the first girl liked you, complimenting and touching hands are signs of interest and familiarity. Don't stress over why she didn't reply and just live on, if you two end up chatting don't try to escape just take it cool like nothing happened.(not in a denial sense, if she mentions it, acknowledge) either you get a second chance to ask her out or just continue business as usual.

Its reliable, but not in the way you are applying it. First of all, you can only judge if the person is into you by looking at where their feet/legs are pointing, when in the moment, not in general. For example, the fact that the second girl was facing you could possibly mean that she was interested in you (for whatever reason, could be anything) in that instance, but that doesnt mean a person will agree to go out with you. Its more complicated than that. The only way to find out if someone wants to go out with you is to just straight up ask them.

Like lets say this, you could be sitting with your girlfriend who cares about you, loves you, etc.. but her feet are not pointing in your direction, that doesnt suddenly mean that she hates your guts, it just means that she is not on the same page as you in the conversation you two are having, or there is some sort of disagreement. There is also the fact that some people have different ways which they prefer to sit, I for example always cross my left leg (put my left heel on my right knee) regardless of where the person I am talking with is sitting, that's just how I feel comfortable sitting. There is also the fact that resting one leg on the other for a long period of time is uncomfortable, so people switch. I could be sitting with a woman and she has her feet pointed at me the whole time, but after a while crosses them in another direction, simply because she got tired of sitting in that way, her leg got numb from that position, I mean no one just stays sitting in the same position for ever. A lot of women can shift from one leg crossing position to another.

Body language can be tricky, you always asses a person not just from one move but from a combination of things they do. My advice is, dont focus on this too much. Only try to focus when someone suddenly changes their leg position abruptly away from you over something you've said or when something happens (a person appears for example and they shift their legs in a different position), but if they are doing it in an nonchalant manner, then its probably nothing to care about.
