How to avoid constantly asking questions when first meeting a girl?

Girls in the past have even said that it feels like I'm interviewing them.

This is not because you "constantly ask questions." It's because you constantly drop conversation threads. People get this impression when you ask a question, and then make it seem like you ignored what they said because your response to their answer is something like, "Oh cool," and then you ask a question about something unrelated.

Basically asking questions is not bad. What's bad is accidentally changing the subject. What you want to do is dig deeper.

I know this isn't something that can be fixed overnight but hopefully there are strategies that help me eliminate this problem over time?

Active listening. This fix doesn't take too long to figure out, but might take practice to make habit.

Ask her a question or make a comment to her.
While she's responding, you don't think about anything except what she is saying right then. No thinking about what you want to say.
When she's finished responding, then you think about what she just said, and respond based on what she just said.
It helps to direct your questioning and the overall conversation, towards her emotions or motivations regarding whatever the subject matter is.

A lot of this depends on how interested and interesting the girl is. Talking to some girls on Tinder is like talking to a brick wall

Sometimes they're also just shit at conversation. If you're not a good story teller, become one. If she's been talking for ages, reward her by giving her a break and telling a story. They're interested to learn about you too

Practice on guy friends too (but without your sexy seducer eyes)
