One thing on the Nick Notas PUA blog that I found interesting and relatable is that desperation is in the mind; it isn’t enough to try and not come off as desperate, you have to genuinely not be desperate. How do you do this? I have a history of depression and had a very socially isolated upbringing with a dysfunctional family and I have a bad habit of letting women become a sort of emotional security blanket for me. This tends to put them off, and I know that, and yet I find it very difficult to not repeat doing it. I’ll try to hide it but it’ll still come out one way or another.
