Hello, I'm a 20 year old sophomore in college that has recently been upping his game with women. I read some of No More Mr. Nice Guy and have been looking at another book, and maybe a week ago I had an epiphany about myself and being a man, and how wrong I've been approaching things the past couple of months.
I used to behave out of my personality a lot before I realized it wasn't who I was, and this led to me forcing a lot of interactions with people and trying to make people like me or think I was a cool guy. I have since learned to just lean back and let the people come to me, taking a more humble approach and giving off the confident and collected look, and it worked INCREDIBLY. The weekend was full of girls coming up to me at parties, guys being more respectful towards me, and a couple of other things. For anyone struggling with being comfortable with themselves, I highly recommend this approach, you may find it works out well for you.
With that being said, I've been wondering about my "ruggedness" or flirtiness as a guy. I have been trying to become more assertive and manly, not to the point where I'm talking loudly like an ass, but just so I'm not seen as a quiet, introverted kind of guy. However, I feel like if I start trying to appear more rugged or rough around the edges like some guys I'll just end up lying to myself and I know for a fact in the past that trying to bring in elements outside of who you are have never worked for me. Not only that, but I have not had any problems thus far with my current approach of being the humble but dominant male, so clearly if that is working for me, should I even bother risking my progress thus far to try and be a bit more teasing?
What do you guys think?
