So this may be a long post and may sound ridiculous, but I’m going to try to get this all out. I’m a guy in my 20’s who has a severe issue with attracting women. I don’t think I’m a terrible looking guy, or weird or anything. But I have had zero luck for years. I get severe, almost crippling anxiety when I even think about going up to a girl to talk to her. I’m 100% convinced it’s a mental thing. It’s almost like at my very core, something is stopping me from trying. That’s why I usually prefer dating apps (mostly hinge) because I get the initial beginning part over with. I’ve been on 3 dates with the app, but each one turned into nothing. I got ghosted by all 3 after one date. But here’s the thing, I’ve read on this subreddit how you have to “have physical contact, turn the convo sexual as soon as you can, or be playful”, etc etc. But that’s like saying you have to run before you can walk. In my head, just me conversing with them like normal should be the right start. What I do is try to get to know them. Their likes/dislikes, what they do for their job, what books they’ve been reading lately, hobbies, etc. Some of them talk pretty consistently. The last date it was constant communication and smiling and some laughing, but still got ghosted. Am I wrong in thinking that a first or second date should be like this? I always assumed that the touching, sexual talk and heavy flirting came after getting to know someone. I have zero pickup lines, I’m not witty, and my confidence is halfway decent. Any suggestions or thoughts would be great. Especially on how to approach girls without panicking or thinking of stuff to talk about(which seems to be a huge issue for me). Cause I’m lost lol
