Incoming bluntness:

You said it right there in your title: you keep acting like a friend. What you're doing is that you're so needy to have the validation of the women you seek, that you act like one of them. When a woman wants to go shopping for new shoes, she takes her gay best friend, or she takes her female friends. In your case, she takes you, because you're acting like one of the other two she'd take.

Other people talk about how the solution is to "just touch her", and while that is, in some ways, part of being the masculine man that she wants, it's not the end-all. Instead, start getting into the mindset that whatever girl you're taking out on a date is replaceable. Susy isn't special, because she takes the loudest, wettest, and worst-stinking shit, comparable to any man's. Alice isn't special, because Alice -- just like every other woman on the planet -- has breasts, and a vagina. And when she gets lazy, or forgets to shower, her pubes will smell like rotten eggs.

The problem here isn't necessarily that you're "nice" or "playful", or not even necessarily that you're "not flirty enough". Those are symptoms. Inner game is where it's at. Realize that women are as shallow as men are, and that as soon as you start treating women as if they're no big deal, you'll see your success grow.

As to how to treat them that way, it's not objectification. It's about smiling, but not being as excited to see her as your dog is to see you when you get home after work. It's about holding her hand, and when she says you're weird, shrug it off because you care about you more than you care about another person's perception of you. It's about asking her on a date with a definite activity in mind, rather than asking the vague question of "do you wanna hang out sometime?"

Sounds like you're not making your intentions clear enough.

Use a lot of kino, escalate a lot, etc. Put it all on the table. Don't give them a reason to think you just wanna be friends.

I am struggling in this department myself, to be honest. However the solution is not some complicated, magical set of actions and words that will instantaneously switch her perception of you. NO!

Just touch her!

That's it. If you make it a habit to hug her instead of shaking her hand whenever you meet, or if you hold hands or have her take your arm when you walk or if you sit next to her instead of across from her in a pub or if you aren't afraid to go the kiss/makeout...you will succeed!

A friend is someone you have an emotional connection. A lover is someone you have a physical connection with. Start touching and using kino. A slight shoulder touch, strong hugs are examples of this
