I‘ll leave reddit and esp this sub behind and throw myself out there. I realised, the more I lurk around here, the more I get torn down into this mental rabbit hole, which hinders me to reach my goals in terms of dating and life in general.
I strongly believe that this sub and its people get more and more toxic lately for several reasons. I don’t want to elaborate this bc I fear, that this will attract mentioned toxicity/ negativity under this thread which is not my goal obviously. There was and still is some good advice on this sub here and there tho. Nonetheless there is a certain point where you have to step out of this theoretical phase and go out into the real world and apply what you gathered. That’s when you actually learn sth and start working towards your goals. For too long I was wasting my time here to consume any input I could grasp just for the sake of it (I intentionally use the word input instead of knowledge). And also bc I was too scared to actually face my fears.
I will do cold approach and writing field reports starting from tomorrow. This will be a way of preparation where I will be guided by a dating coach for a bootcamp in August. I‘m ready to take the necessary efforts in terms of time, actions and finances. Some people might call me crazy for this. But what I actually find crazy is continuing to wait and do nothing and still hoping that things will get better somehow. Don‘t hold yourself back just bc you got cozy in your current situation or bc you‘re scared of your immense potential that lurks in the dark depths of your psyche what you can actually be capable of.
I might take a few books with me along my journey. I found them on this sub, which I am also thankful for. For example I’ll read Women on Top by Nancy Friday, No more Mr. Nice Guy, and Models. In this exact order to firstly get my world view brutally crushed about women, sexuality and my thus my inhibitions in that term; so that I can rebuild it with a healthier mindset and eventually learn to find my true authentic self.
At least that is the way I found for me so far. I don’t think, you have to have a strict plan. Just go your way. That is by going out into the real world and applying what you know and learn further in the process. Don’t waste your time waiting for advices from others.
Go out and make your own experiences.
