I've been through seddit and TRP and have spent a lot of time reading no more Mr Nice Guy, Models, Book of pook, The Manual and how to win Friends.

You gotta practice man.

You've read the theory. You know what you have to do. Now go do it.

It's going to fucking suck at first. You have all these ideas in your head about how you're supposed to hold eye contact and touch her and not lean in but still charm her with conversation and it's way too much.

Focus on one thing at a time. Go out tomorrow and make eye contact, smile, and say "hi" to ten girls. Go to a sports bar and ask her what her team is.

Recycledbanthas had a good comment today (go find it) where he explains why dudes run out of things to say - you're too in your own head. You're not responding to your environment, to the woman in front of you. Instead you're thinking about what you read in mr nice guy and some manual and how to win friends. Which isn't what you should be thinking about when there's a good looking girl that just responded to your question. Take what she said and add a comment to it, or a story, or make fun of it.

What is your grooming/styling? Overweight dudes can pull hot babes fine, but your hair and clothes better fucking be on point. If you're doing the minimum or less with your appearance, women won't even give you the time of day.

That's great that you can hold a conversation with shared interests. You need to kick it up a notch and get good and comfortable with small talk. Being able to converse readily and easily is a biiiiig requirement with women.

I tried dating apps a lot when I first got into this scene, and the response rates were depressing. Don't let that get to your head too much though, because dating apps are a completely different game and, like you said, it's mostly about how physically attractive you look in your photos. You can't really blame anyone though, that's all the information girls get to work with on these apps.

At some point, I switched gears and just tried to have more of a social life to meet girls in person. I was kind of an introvert and I worked a lot so I rarely went out to social events.

That helped a lot. It improved a lot of my social anxiety, I started to actually meet girls, go on dates, hook up, etc. It turns out that girls aren't as shallow in real life as they are on dating apps. It was also more fun, because I was still hanging out with friends even if I wasn't meeting new girls. Maybe that night job of yours is holding you back? Your friends also sound like douchebags, that doesn't help.

How many cold approaches have you done in 4 years?

Sorry, but Tinder and most online dating is very difficult unless you are above average looking.

Cold approach is more effective because you can convey your entire personality in person, rather than through a one paragraph summary on Tinder.

In short, come back here after you've done 100 cold approaches and tell us you still feel you aren't making progress.
