I only got into PUA for real very recently, I had actually discovered it quite a few years ago and seen a lot of RSD material so I already had some core principles. But I was actually too young to go to clubs at the time (and far too neurotic to approach anyway hah) so it drifted by the way side.

Anyway, I discovered a friend of mine had got into this stuff (even did a boot camp) and was having some decent results, he had a few friends doing the same thing and they go out quite a bit.

So I decided I really want to sort out this area of my life now I have no excuses. I've been out with approaching in mind about 3 or 4 times now. At first I was terrified to talk to anyone.. But quickly realized it's actually pretty fun meeting new people, everyone's surpsingly nice.

So now I can approach and hold a short conversation, get the girl laughing and it's all cool. But it's not pickup. I was so obsessed with being able to open and talk that I've not really tried to build any attraction with girls or get a phone number. Girls will laugh and seem comfortable around me, but not attracted. I think they just see me as a friendly guy.

I've read and watched tons of material, I think it's almost damaging now because I have a lot of information scattered around but I don't really know what I should be working on. Especially with RSD which isn't exactly concise...

Can I just get a few pointers for a newbie next time I'm out at the club? I know a lot, but I don't know what I should actually be 'practising.' I like to look at things from a practice mindset because I'm a musician and I've been through this experience of gradual improvement over many years. It's just with guitar or piano there's a clearer structure of learning.
