Biggest problem is i have a lot of "empty time" in my life. I'm (currently) the sort of person that people sometimes wonder what does he get up to on a daily basis etc. Basically i'm supposed to be starting my 2nd degree at university but I've got an arm injury which means I could only take half the normal number of classes (only 6 lessons per week). I have 1 part time job that has about 10-20 hours per week (I am limited as to what jobs i can apply for). I go to salsa classes twice a week. There is a chance I will have a second part time job in a few weeks to fill up maybe another 10 - 15 hrs. I might get a guitar soon to do some arm strengthening exercises (and also because I want to learn it eventually) but thats only going to be 20 min a day. I do self study for subjects other than the 2 courses im doing at the moment. but for the remaining time I'm at home :/

. . .

Here is where it gets a little complicated. I've had this injury (sort of like writers cramp) for 5 years and the only reason i passed my first degree was that it was a language degree so i could do bare minimum of writing. I do have value as a guy (things are shit at the moment but I have had some big successes in my life up until now, reasonably attractive, have interesting life experiences, dress well etc.) but I feel uncomfortable letting girls (and sometimes guys in group settings etc.) know about this huge weakness in my life. "I'm in my twenties but I've got and injury to my writing arm that hasn't gotten better after 5 years". The injury is improving with massage therapy and osteotherapy but its still a while off.

How can i be comfortable about the fact that my life is not very clear cut and on some track at the moment? If I met girls who are in a similar boat i wouldn't feel as self-conscious but most are not so i feel awkward explaining my situation and i end up manipulating the conversation so i don't have to talk about my current day to day life or just give up on the interaction.

Barriers: Also have an injury to my lower body so going to the gym/exercising heaps is not an option.
