Inner game vs outer game, I assume you mean?

Inner. All the way. I mean, ideally, both. You want to be the full package, right? But inner game will help you do more than get laid. This can help with friendships, your career, business relationships, etc.

That's been my experience, at least.

Outer game helps you develop inner game.

For example, it's all well and good to tell everyone "Just be confident and make the approaches", but the approaches seem a lot less scary when you're starting out if you have an opener or two memorized.

But as you use them, you'll develop your own style and eventually stop needing them. So I'd say outer game is kind of like training wheels, and inner game is the end goal.

Ultimately, it's good to balance.

But when you're learning, focus on one thing a time. Maybe for a couple months, I'll try outer-game techniques like different approaches or whatever. Then for the next couple of months, I might focus on inner-game stuff.

Inner. How you interpret yourself and the world will guide your style of approach. That being said, I don't think you can do the more advanced things like pulling two girls home unless you have the outer stuff in check too. But you'll never get to that point without solid inner game first. I think of it as inner game being the 20% that gets you 80% of the results, and outer game being the 80% that contributes 20% to the reults.
