So I took the advice on here to heart about acting aloof and selective (which wasn't that hard because I am a pretty picky guy). Anyway, I've met a few girls in the last few weeks and it seems like they all keep telling me that I'm not pushing hard enough with them. But I've made out with two of them and am still talking to both, so I don't see the problem personally.
One girl I made out with, then texted her the next day for a few messages but not for a few days after that. She got upset, telling me I didn't act interested in her and that I should go after her harder. But she also texted me the second time, which was what I think I wanted. Since then I've texted her too, but only if she texts me occasionally. Another example is a girl from work. We were supposed to hang out and I told her to text me, and she says, "But I never text people first, you text me." So I said, "Neither do I so you'll have to if you want to hang out." She ended up texting me, but she acted annoyed like I was supposed to, truth be known. I didn't care, though, especially considering we're just friends and she ended up texting me anyway. But if she hadn't have texted me, I wouldn't have her either. I was being honest.
Honestly if I listened to the women I'm obviously doing something wrong. But then they text/kiss/etc. me anyway so I'm getting what I want. But honestly not all of them do so I'm wondering if I'm missing out on some awesome girls by not acting as picky. I should say when I'm around them in person I'm a lot more assertive, but I just like leaving the texting part up to them if I could. But overall, they seem to get annoyed by that and so I'm wondering if I would get better results texting them first or just starting more text conversations in general with girls I've met.
Edit: I think this explains it best: It seems like they want something more from me after they've made out with me and whatnot. If I had to guess they want to feel special and have me treat them differently than other girls since I've made out with them, but I don't. I still act the same way I did before and I think it hurts their feelings. But I don't know exactly how to act differently towards someone just because we made out or whatever.
