I'm pretty sure tinder has some type of algorithm. I'm positive it matches you with people of your "caliber"

Also from what I've read everyone has an hidden tinder score. Your score is related to how many people swipe right on you and it gets boosted even more when another person with a high score swipes you / matches with you.

I'm a published male model (which isn't hard to do so take that with a grain of salt) but I consistently see hotter girls in my feed than my friends who are not quite as attractive as me. Especially when I first open the app the first 10 or 15 girls are all smoking hot, then I'll get 10 or 15 avg looking girls than 4 or 5 really unfortunate looking girls then it randomizes. I've been on tinder since it's inception and I've noticed this trend for about a year now.

Dude. There is 100% some kind of game going on with any dating sites matching algo. I do this for a living (software). I can guarantee that Tinder is collecting terabytes / day of swiping data, and they absolutely feed that back into their system. In fact, I would bet a large sum of money on it, because if they weren't and I were on their board, I'd demand to know why not.

A lot of the algo is to discourage auto-swiping / mass swiping. I think it hurts you to run out of swipes, or at least to never left swipe.

I'm confident that there is. I've seen really odd behavior from tinder and have used it for many years. When I first started I matched with lots of hot girls, and a dozen girls a day. Now I match with maybe one girl a week. Sometimes it increases but it seems to be random and mostly involve travel - like when I go to a new city. But yeah, on other apps I match with dozens of women, and after years with tinder, almost no one anymore. Also, sometimes I match with very atttactive women on tinder, but it's super rare. Like in London I matched with 2 extremely hot girls, went out with 1, but then I rarely match with anyone else.

It definitely has one and it gets reset when you start a new account. The rule is to only swipe 70-80% to the right, NOT 100%. That kills your ELO.

Restarting definitely helps
