I am a 20 year old male and this shouldn't hurt me as much as it should. All involving a 22 year old girl. She was pretty, we had a lot in common and we liked each other.

She's all over me, leading me on for a number of weeks, eventually kissing me and insisting that she stay over at my house. I don't let her because I'm too much of a fucking gentleman and she's a little drunk. But I text her, she texts me back for about a week or two.

She knows that I like her. It takes me 5 weeks to pluck up the courage to tell her this (after her exams) and she tells me that she's seeing someone else for two weeks.

I really liked this girl and I just feel so hurt. She could have told me this ages ago but chose not to. To be rejected like this is so painful and I just don't know what to do.

At the time she became interested in me I had lost all hope with women. I'm still a virgin like many other Redditors. The fact that this bitch offered me this false hope then tore it to shred with a smile and "I'm sorry" is just beyond belief.

I need the advice of someone who's been in a similar situation and has felt this shit before as well. I need cheering up and my confidence back.

EDIT: I just want to say thank you for your honesty and advice. Also the fact that I'm not the only person this has ever happened to is somewhat soothing. It means a lot people. Also, I'm going to delete this soon just for the sheer fact I want to forget it. Things can only get better I guess. :)
