A defense mechanism I've seen people use to handle rejection is to lash out at the one who rejected you.

"Hey girl, where you headed! How you doing?!" - Some dude

"Not interested..." - Some chick

"Wow, fuck you, bitch." - Dude

Many girls are afraid to be at all confrontational because some guys with huge egos have freaked out in the past when they got rejected.

As for preferring a flat out rejection vs ghosting, I think if you approach it from the angle that both are functionally the same, you’ll stop caring about the difference. You aren’t really owed an explanation anyways, and I think a lot of times the explanations are bullshit to begin with, in the sense that you will rarely get actionable feedback and even the smoothest of smooth hot guys still get rejected.

As others in the thread have indicated, you only think it's passive-aggressiveness because you have little to no experience dealing with the sort of shit women/girls have to put up with. It really is a perfectly natural and understandable reaction to being subjected to the kinds of things that guys end up doing to women.

I'm not going to link to that popular hash tag about sexual assault and harassment that's been making the rounds lately, but that shit is real.

One of my friends just posted something that happened to her a couple weeks ago, about how some dude she was rejecting, started following her, calling her an ungrateful bitch, and being threatening in general.

I was a fly on the wall for an informal girls talk session that happened after a party. Every single girl in that group spoke of how they face being groped and otherwise sexually assaulted or harassed when they go out for a night on the town.

I can count on one hand, the number of times that I've been subjected to unwanted advances that could qualify as sexual assault or harassment. That's just the start of the night for most women.

Idk, I have an an experienced this year where I dated a girl I knew and she put the brakes on it and we still text all the time. In fact I think she is purposefully trying to irritate me at times (I no longer would consider her gf material btw, and shouldn't from the start).

My point is sometimes ignoring you is better than using you to fill their attention meter up.

Unless you've been on a date (in-person) -- they don't really owe you anything. And even then, after the first date, the onus is on the guy to say "hey date 2?" and then the women will either say no thanks or ghost him.

The only bitch move is to have sex with someone and then ghost, my own personal ethics is that ... yeah if you can suck my dick, you can send me a quick text.

But yeah ghosting is 10x easier for women then to be "mean" and have a guy bitch them out. Hell, I've ghosted a few women after first dates. Probably shouldn't have. They never reached out, so is it really ghosting? I just don't want to say "hey there was no spark sorry have a good one" -- it's like, that's basically what ghosting says.

But yeah, get used to it.

If you're talking BEFORE any kind of physical meeting. Well, girls get hundreds of suitors online. They don't have the time (nor incentive to give two fucks') about sending 99 rejections every day. If you were ghosted in convo, it means she isn't interested! Move on!

This is not a 'trend'. Girls avoid rejecting you outright. Saying they having a boyfriend or ghosting you is a non-confrontation way to say they're not interested.

Study up on IOD (indicators of disinterest) to avoid problems.

I don't think you understand how many guys are literally Tsar bomb level nuking the shit out of hot girls phones.

Her replying to every text would be like you picking up every leaf you see on a sidewalk. Its just not realistic.
