There is no universally attractive male. I have found emotionally mature women have a very specific type of man they are attracted to, and what women find attractive is very diverse.
For, example, I could be at a venue with many eligible women, and find that none are interested in flirting with me. Then at the next venue, I could have three who are flirting and very interested, and if I really match a woman's "type" she may approach me first.
I wanted to talk about the concept or rules in the "dating game". What I have found over the years is there are no rules, and what you do as a man depends on who she is as a person.
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
True and I don’t mean to generalize but don’t you think there are common basic things that they look for in a partner?
[–]MakeSail 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Women generally choose a partner base on their needs (desires). I have found that attraction IRL is made up of initial attraction (before conversation) and mate value attraction (during conversation). The relative proportions of these are dependent on the needs of the individual woman.
There are some patterns I see as to attractive traits in men as follows:
Psychological Health
Emotional Maturity
Intelligence
Beyond these the priority of what traits are important is woman dependent.

Here's the thing: I hear a lot of guys saying 'I'm a super good guy' or something along these lines. Unfortunately for you, there are guys with good careers and good looks who are also good guys. Just the way it is.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link
I don’t get what you’re getting at. I made this for those guys who are saying “oh I’m a super good guy” and all that. A good guy is a a guy who is just generally good but still has boundaries. The nice guy that these guys are talking about are the ones who try to qualify for a girl by being a push over. I made this post to say to become the guy that you’re describing
[–]Altruistic-Wasabi-20 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
No that's not the type i had in mind. I mean guys who aren't super nice guy-ey but still frustrated because they can't get girls or at least the type of girls they want and they're like 'I'm a good dude.'
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Oh true. I still do think a lot of the time those type of dudes you’re talking about try to over qualify themselves and don’t really show confidence. Asking for reassurance in ways like “how was the date? Did you have fun? I hope I didn’t bother you, did I?” Like yes you’re supposed to be kind and considerate but too much of it is a turnoff. I feel you though.
[–]Altruistic-Wasabi-20 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Yup. If you're not sure of you how can she be sure of you.
I think it's also a matter of perspective. You can be confident, improve yourself, dress well, and do all the right approaches but you're still not going to be fucking girls like you're Hugh Hefner. And, as for long-term relationships, I've worked with a bunch of 'Chad' like guys who complain about not getting enough sex or boring sex their girlfriends being bitchy over minor things. It's like so many people expect to go from nothing to owning the world because they started lifting and bought some nice clothes. Nope.
[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah no I completely get you, it’s perspective like you said. I just said this because it won’t get you allll the girls but you’re chances will be higher and you’ll feel more comfortable with them and yourself.
[–]zeroff89 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
What does that mean? A bunch of ‘Chad’ like guys...I’d like you to elaborate on the meaning of ‘Chad’ in this context
[–]Altruistic-Wasabi-20 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Haha I was using it as a bit of a joke term but the idea of the Chad so you know very good looking square jaw fit and muscular. It seems like the LDR is destined for some level of pain and boredom.
[–]zeroff89 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I only ask because my name is Chad. I’ve been seeing it used more and more recently in context that shines a very negative light on it. When people use my name in these types of context they’re trying to define all of us Chad’s’ all over the world
You know I was given the name Chad 31 years ago when I came into this world and I’d never heard my name used on the internet until earlier this year. Earlier today i saw a video on ToddVDating on YouTube and the video said “why hot girls love Chad”. And in the comments various snow flakes had taken the liberty to slander my name and the name of everyone named Chad in the world. For what? I don’t get it. So I just googled my name and this is what the it says; Meeks - The term is like “chad” on steroids: While a “chad” is a man who is sexually successful just because he’s attractive (but might not necessarily be a bad person), a meeks is a man who is sexually successful and disgraceful.
Dictionary.com
WHAT DOES CHAD MEAN?
Chad is a usually disparaging internet slang term used for a popular, confident, sexually active young white male. Its female counterpart is Stacy, who is often portrayed as Chad's sexual partner.
Use of Chad is associated with the incel community and the website 4chan to refer stereotypical alpha males.
A Chad, in internet slang, is generally a sexually active "alpha male". The term has a history of being used by incels and other manosphere groups, though it has also become a slang term across the internet and among adolescents in general to refer to particularly attractive or confident males.

I’m struggling big time. I want nothing more than to go balls to the wall with my self development but every single f***ing day there is crap getting in the way. Whether it’s work or family obligations, or a crucial tool I don’t yet possess. It’s maddening...
[–]donanxn 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Hey I feel you man, finding time for yourself can feel impossible sometimes. Instead of trying to find spare time for self improvement, try including it into your everyday routines. Choose 1 thing that maybe you don't like that you do, and work on finding a way to get better with that. Start small my friend.
[–]Alive-Doughnut2345 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Thanks friend 💜
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Try waking up earlier if you can, before the sun, there’s more quiet time and time for yourself
[–]Alive-Doughnut2345 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Yeah nothing for it. I’m sleeping too much and I don’t think I can afford to anymore
One day at a time man. Start with 1 small (under 5 minute habit) just change that one thing in a month and give yourself the biggest gold star you can imagine.
Build a habit of congratulations on self improvement!
I’ll do my very best thanks a lot. Good luck to you and happy Mother’s Day

Most of the time when a guy makes the statement blaming the female and refusing to take ownership of his own short comings its due to his insecurities and emotional immaturity.
In long term relationships there’s a power dynamic that needs to be maintained
I watched a video by Todd V dating earlier today describing this power dynamic and he went a bit further to introduce another dynamic balance between “emotional” and “logical”
It is important to remember that the system is set up for you to get out of it what you put into it, and the results aren’t immediate because it takes time and practice for you to tune the system and techniques to personally fit you
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This. This is basically what I’m trying to say.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
What do you mean by power dynamic?
[–]zeroff89 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
The power dynamic I’m referring to is the power struggle between men and women. This needs to be maintained because it’s like a teeter totter. It does NOT remain static.
Breaking down the power dynamic gives us emotional and logical.
Emotional = your value logical = girlfriends comfort
Emotional Scary + logically safe = your power (she requires little from you; she feels safe)
Emotional safe + logically safe = her power (lost value, she demands more from you; she feels safe)
Emotional safe + logically scary = toxic (little/no value, work it out/leave, she feels unsafe)
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I still don't understand it. Do you want a power struggle between men and women? Do you actually try to have an "alpha" and a "beta" person in a relationship?
[–][deleted] 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
[permanently deleted]
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
That is a sick thinking, I am sorry. I want someone with the self value as I have it and someone who is equal. As a woman I see this alpha/beta thinking pretty badly. And as a psychology student I even see it worse. This is not true, it doesn't work like that and you should first learn that respect and equality is the key to a happy and healthy relationship. I hope that one day you realize that too and stop trying to sound as if you have any clue of this topic. Good luck!
[–]gbizzle2 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link
Actually if you work on yourself well enough they will gravitate to you especially if you push pull.
[–][deleted] 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
[–]barbernotbarbour 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Completely agree, its why so many simp all the time. Both sides bring something together, and women (as well as men) can't do it all by themselves.
[–][deleted] 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
[–]barbernotbarbour 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Damn I haven't been in situations like that, that said it's only been recently Ive been speaking my true mind. I can see why they defend them, it's a hardwired thing to defend females (even if they are a crackhead smh) plus we have the sjw stuff too.
For the Reddit thing, I'm not surprised, lots of human thumbs live on here 💀
Which subreddit was that on?
[–]gbizzle2 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Thats why you dont need to fight simps. Their punishment is having their heart broken. The best revenge is letting them continue to be simps while these women run circles around them.
“Push/pull” happens when you’re talking and interacting with them. It doesn’t necessarily gravitate them to you, but if used right it lowers their guard and puts the power dynamic in your favor requiring them to seek your approval.
If you want women to gravitate towards you, its not about appearance or money. They’re basically drawn to “a man’s man”. (like from the movie “what women want” with Mel Gibson) a guy that presents himself as the leader of the pack (Social status). It’s the way you carry yourself, your confidence, and even speech can have a part in it cuz they’ve gotten used to getting away with saying what ever they want.
[–]gbizzle2 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
More specifically its masculinity and dominance that draws them in. They will never admit they want to be dominated. Its an unwritten rule to deceive men into believing that its "abusive".
[–]zeroff89 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
You’ve got the right idea, they typically do want masculinity and dominance. They need to feel security and safety. What I was saying in the above post was that women will gravitate to the leader of the pack
[–]gbizzle2 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nah. Not everyone is looking for that type guy. The great personality is a must but a lot of money, and 6 ft isn’t a deal breaker for a lot of money. Attractiveness isn’t all what’s on the face, I’ve seen some unfavorable dudes walk with some of the baddest girls. CONSISTENTLY.

That is just fully wrong. Most of my friends tend to go out with guys that are below their "league" (which isn't even a real thing). They want respect and they want a guy who listens to them and cares about them. And if you believe you did this earlier, than you are wrong. Because if you ever did this for real, you wouldn't have changed it. And they want guys who just talk to them to sleep with them. They want guys that are their friends at first and then they slowly realize how caring these guys are. And these girls "bring a lot to the table". Many of them got their now boyfriend through is break up. They looked after them when they cried, they didn't see it as unmanly, just as human. Maybe don't have your prejudices about women and then it will work. Btw: these girls all look pretty good and lots of guys message them on IG or Snapchat for dates. But they want people with who they can share hobbys and who care about their whole persona. That is why lots of girls fall in love with their best friend. (PPS: most of the guys are the same size or smaller than the girls, but these women see them as longterm partners and therefore they don't care. The guys are mostly not even tthe girls described "type", but they feel comfortable with them)

Women don't want to get to now you, because you seem like a sexist Trump voter with the view that a woman should serve him. Have you ever talked to a woman first without trying to get her to f you? If not, then you are just part of the "nice guys community". You tell yourself that you are nice, but you are actually the type of guy women avoid because they are scared to get hurt.

Wow, you really think that women are objects don't you? I don't know why your views on women are that bad, but not important if it was your ex girlfriends or your mother or I don't know, just know that we would like to be treated as everyone else. We deserve your respect as well as you deserve respect and your tone towards women is full of hate. I really hope that one day you heal and realize how beautiful it can be to be in a healthy and good relationship.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Isn't there men on OF too? And why do you try to press all women in one category? How many women have an OF that you know. None of my friends have one. All of them are worthy your respect. They are nurses, architects, mechanics, some make their PhD in physics or chemistry, some become doctors and some are attorney or psychologists. I really hope that one day you loose your incel thoughts and I am sorry for the trauma that you apparently had from earlier in your life that makes you believe things like this.

Believe what you want to believe. But your problem is your mentality. You really believe women are against you, but you're the only one against you. Women take "ugly" man, because they wanna feel loved and safe.
And how about you? Do you date overweight, tall girls with bad skin? If not, then you are clearly judging. But you don't want to be judged. Instead of always seeing yourself as a victim, start working on yourself to be a nicer person who actually makes women feel good about themselves. Then you would have a chance. But your view of women is just that they are bad and only date douchebags. It isn't like that. You're just believing that to make yourself feel better about you. "they won't date the nice guys, only the douchebags". Wrong, maybe you are just a douchebag and don't see it. I don't know a girl who would choose a guy with your view on women.
[–][deleted] 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Look that is why you will never find a wife/girlfriend. You are just plain up an Incel. I am sorry if you met those types of girls, but all the girls I know have boyfriends, that are not conventionally attractive. They met them years ago and slowly started falling in love with them. If you don't believe me, that is ok, but I know different and I know why you have problems to find a gf. Maybe if you hate girls that much, you should look for a guy. Because no girl should be in a relationship with a guy who believes that all girls work like this, when clearly most girls in my life settled with guys who were less intelligent and less good looking/caring about themselves, just for the reason that they felt safe. Maybe, women don't feel safe with you and your sexist beliefs. One day I really hope that your views are changing. We are living beings just as you as well and we have no sinister plan to treat the "ugly" guys bad. So calm down, learn to love and accept yourself and maybe then you will find a partner.

you just gotta be confident. Dont be shy to talk to anyone
[–]Kaniwai 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Wow just listening to you guys is very interesting.
But I think I’m a phenomenal woman and probably a 8 if I put it on a scale
Can I tell you a secret of what we are thinking .
A lot of guys only want sex with different girls so he can say he’s slept with a lot of woman.
They think we don’t know their fuck boys . But we know and some girls want that we call it FWB.
And there’s girls just like them and just want sex and will get it.
Just like anything equal rights guys get used too.
But if I’m been serious a real woman doesn’t or isn’t asking for much.
She wants a man who is honest , kind , and is his own man. And your right a job.
Looks are important but it’s secondary. We want to be loved honored and respected.
And we want to show you the same. Every woman wants her man to look at her across the room and sees only her.
We want love just as much as the men . Thing is we all have to stop playing games and be confident in who we are and what we want.
I’ve been single for awhile but I’m willing to wait until that right man comes.
And that doesn’t mean I stand by and wait if I see someone I’m interested I I’m going to approach him now.
I decided recently I’m not only going to wait I’m going to put my self out there.. And if that means asking someone out I’m doing it
I going out of my comfort zone. The worst thing that can happen is I grow and learn from it
Best thing that can happen is I find my person.
I wish you guys luck in what your looking for. And there’s nothing g wrong in doing you!
[–]zeroff89 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
8 is a solid number. You have a lot of confidence in yourself and that’s a beautiful thing. Today I feel like I’m a 7.2
Many here might disagree with me, which isn’t a bad things. (Everyone should have their own opinion and be able to express it. That’s what leads to progress)
I think labeling people 1-10 based on their physical appearance is dumb.
When I see a woman I’m attracted to. I don’t number her. I try to talk to her. I’m probably weird and I accept it if I am, when I approach a woman and start a conversation I’m looking to see if there’s a real connection I can feel or not.
[–]Kaniwai 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I just used a number scale for what reason I couldn’t tell you. I mean what I say and say what mean. I say what’s on my mind at that moment. I don’t look at men or woman as a number. And I don’t base me meeting someone based on looks. And it’s taken a lot of years to call myself a 8. But when I say that I mean a 8 in looks and a 10 overall Just kidding I don’t take it that serious!

Just be attractive to women, follow your interests while making money at it, and don’t be a creep. Sex will fall in your lap.

I have deleted tinder for the last time. I'm 34, and haven't had any luck anyway. And if I did. I would have to actually try, and sacrifice my masculinity in the process...and all my projects.. their all oversocialiizdd and that don't fit my persona. Lots have kids or wants kid and play house all their life. The bad ass broad I want won't be chillen on tinder lol

I can only speak for myself, but as a woman, here is the basic list of what I’m looking for from a man
intelligence and wit. Its a major turn on if guys can handle a conversation and make a girl laugh
financial independence, not necessarily rich but someone who is a potential partner in this aspect of relationship esp if you’re headed towards a long term relationship
presentable looks. Not really looking for the best looking guy because I don’t think I’m much of a pretty girl myself, but enough to make me feel physically attracted
emotional maturity. Though this one would take time to be determined, women want men who wont take our concerns for granted. You want to be in a relationship? Deal with your woman’s issues as much as you want her to deal with yours
u/Bizarro- was that one chick that was in here trying to pick a fight with everyone?
