Since you are starting out i would recommend you look for some PUA openers. Memorise 1 good one that you can use almost anywhere. Then you will never have to worry about what to say. That is until you have built up your confidence. When you have mastered confidence you can open with anything. The reason you can't walk up and talk to a girl is because you are worried about the outcome. This is called outcome dependence. It is the fear that something will go wrong. So you prevent that by not doing anything.

There are some PUAs that take this as far as saying random sentences just to initiate the conversation. I would recommend asking her a question about something about her or about the metro. That's easiest.
