So I was at a club last night, dressed as peaky blinders. I opened a devil girl who was 1 of 4 in a group.

I never said anything to her, just mirrored her dancing and put my hands out to get her to dance with me.

The thing is, I had no intention with this girl. I was after the army girl friend. With a group though, from my experience, win them all over. Otherwise they will cock block you.

After a little bit of hand in hand dancing, I let go and carried on dancing facing the group.

Then if by magic, my target comes straight to me and says "Are you peaky blinders?" I said yes, complimented her outfit and then wrapped my arm round her shoulders.

I then asked her "So, what's it like in the life of a Victoria Secret model then?"

She loved it and laughed. We exchanged a few more words, then I took her hand and we went outside to talk properly.

Got her number and arranged a date with her for this weekend.

A few months ago I would never have dreamed of saying such a thing. Which is a shame.

Later on the girl mentioned my opener of intent and even said herself that it was cringey but she said it stood out, it was individual and unique. It got her attention and made her laugh. It also ended up being our go to "joke" for the rest of the night.

She basically explained something as rediculous as that is so much better than standing against the wall staring at a girl for a while and then just saying hi or what's your name. She already had countless guys say those things to her that night.

Stand out guys. Be rediculous, be comical and be individual.
