Need some advice on keeping a convo going

Dont seem interested, be interested. When she feels that you care about what she is saying then she will be more willing to continue the conversation.

When you are talking to a girl, you want to be giving her your full attention. This may be where your problem lies, if she feels that you are not giving her full attention and arent really interested, she wont want to continue the conversation. Thereby making it more difficult for you to keep the convo going.

Ask questions, stimulate her mentally, use your questions to get her to think about things that she may not have in the past.

-Whats your favorite movie, and why? -What band do you hate, and why? -If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? -Would you rather sleep on a stone floor with no pillow or blanket, or sleep in a bed with a big stain on it? -Is it weird to pee in the shower?

Compliment her stories with stories of your own. Its not a bad thing to talk about yourself, just make sure that what you are saying is relevant and interesting, and dont drag on and on.

I think you may find it hard because, based on your text above, you seem to be confused about the fundamental rules of having a conversation. Be genuinely interested and give her your full attention. Without those, no conversation can be sustained

Can you explain why you think the person you're talking to should get less than your full attention? (If it's "because I read somewhere that I shouldn't," do you have a link to that advice?)
