Warning: long read, but I really need some help and my situation is kinda unusual. It would mean the world to me if someone could help me out.

So just some background, I'm 23 and in my first year at a top-tier lawschool, only had 1 "serious" girlfriend. It was 3 years during high school, we never had sex, just everything but, because she was saving herself for marriage and I respected that......She was more into the relationship than I was, but we both knew what it was and had a great time. We left on good terms but don't talk much.

I'd say i'm an average looking guy, who would probably be very well above average if i lost about 15 pounds. I used to get more female attention when I was thinner, actually a lot now that I think about it, but then I gained a little weight as I got older and about the time I became aware of any opportunities they had vanished, it so tough shit for me I guess. I still lift weights and i'm in decent shape, i'm just not as ripped and shredded as i used to be, and I don't feel like I get a lot of attention for my looks.

Get to college, 2 year dry spell (NOTHING) while at one school. Meet great friends, meet a few girls but my game is NIL so I screw it up. No hard feelings transfer to another school.

Second school, starting junior year.........Start hooking up with girls there, lose my vcard (to a random), and it goes well from there. Ended up dating a few girls, worked my way up, confidence increased and I was doing well. End of junior year, met a girl through friends from the first school. This first girl, let's call her A1, was the first girl I really had true feelings for. She's attractive to me, maybe not in a Sports Illustrated swimsuit way, but I'm not shallow so she's the most beautiful girl in the world to me. Sweet, smart, funny girl. Seems perfect and she makes it very clear she's as into me as I am into her. We date/mess around for 5 weeks when suddenly, the day after finals, she totally ditches, stops talking to me, and immediately gets a boyfriend, who is not me. Stops talking to me altogether.

A1's bad experience fucked with my head. I really couldn't get her out of my head for a few months. But I got right back into it, kept hooking up with more girls, dated a few very very attractive girls but didn't feel anything for them. I was successful with some unbelievably good looking girls, but it just wasn't the same so I moved on.

Finally, my senior year, I come into contact with a girl I met, again, through friends at the first school I went to. Same name as A1, so we'll call her A2. Same interests, same type, same everything. Started dating her exactly 1 year after (to the day: April 7th) I started dating A1. So things are going great, I ask her to be my gf, she says "of course I want to be your gf". One week later, she does the same shit. Bails with no explanation. Again, it was exactly one year after A1 pulled the same move, 3 days after my last final. Won't talk to me, just says "let's go back to dating, I don't really know you". I'm like ok, so I give it a try, but she's making it very clear she just wants me to leave her alone.

A2's unexplained ravaging of my soul really had a nasty effect on me to this day. I thought I wouldn't make the same mistake twice. These girls had the same name, I met them the same way, and our escapades were exactly one year apart. But I let it proceed smoothly and carefully and it came around and shot me in the head. Worst feeling ever because she pretty much just dismissed me and won't even talk to me; and I'm not making any attempts to because I feel like it's over and it would be too painful to do anything but just try and forget about this. She's living 1500 miles away now with a new boyfriend who she seems very happy with. Go figure. I'm not trying to figure out why it happened, I'd rather just black it out of my mind.

So now I'm in my first year of law school. I came here feeling really confident from all of the success I had. Figured I'd learned my lessons and I'd go forward and keep doing work until I found the right girl. I talked to all the new hot girls the same way I always did, wasn't shy, downtrodden, or anything. But now it's almost a year later and I'm coming up empty. I feel like I've hit a wall and no girl will show interest in me. after 6 months of rejections it's really starting to affect my confidence.....at like a zero right now. Maybe it's the new city that i'm in, maybe it's just that I'm older now and I've missed my window. The only guys that get girls here are UNBELIEVABLE douchebags or fitness models, or both. I'm just a nice guy, I figured i'd always have plenty to offer and i've always thought that any girl would be lucky to be with me, but this dry spell/series of rejections is really making me question my view of myself.

I don't know what i'm expecting to hear, I've just tried to deal with the lonliness for so long and stifle it but I'm realizing that I may need some help. My plan is to go on a crazy diet and workout plan to get in better shape and increase my confidence, and then maybe do a mild steroid cycle to get to a point where I can take my shirt off on the beach and get some attention.
