This is a self-love issue.

Groucho Marx said it best:

"PLEASE ACCEPT MY RESIGNATION. I DON'T WANT TO BELONG TO ANY CLUB THAT WILL ACCEPT PEOPLE LIKE ME AS A MEMBER".

When you're chasing the girl, she doesn't like you, so you're trying to win her. But then when she likes you, you think "how could any girl like me?" And she loses her value.

This will happen with any and every girl until you diagnose the issue.

This is why they say you can't love someone until you love yourself. And you can't be loved until you love yourself.

Think of what you're saying, "I think less of a girl if she's attracted to me."

Why?

Because of how you view your own value.

You make a good point. From my experience, I love chasing a girl. I enjoy at the adrenaline rush of not knowing how things will play out. Now that I think of it, in the past I've had a couple girls who have chased me. I would say in those situations, I didn't feel the same adrenaline rush or excitement. Maybe it's because in those situations, I'm the one in charge?

Does that make sense? I don't think of it in the (near) literal sense. I'm not constantly bugging her trying to make it work. I chase her by laying the groundwork down for her to chase me. I do my "chasing" with playful confident banter.

We enjoy doing the chasing because it is fun. It's a challenge. The same can happen if she is chasing you. All you need to do is find the fun aspect of her chasing you, if you think you'd enjoy it. If I have a girl clearly chasing me, I'll play hard to get for a bit. Tease her and swap conventional roles of dating. I'm sure there are some who don't agree with this logic but I'm having fun, and that's the entire point of dating at first, is it not? If she plays her cards well when the roles are reversed, then I'll let her win the game and see where things lead with the girl. It's okay to play games as long as you don't do it for an extended period of time and string someone on for no reason.

I like when a girl chases but when shes too eager to get to know me and bombards me with questions/flirty behavior it makes me a bit uncomfortable. I like to chase but I'd like if it was 50/50, but it usually isn't that and if I'm really not interested it can get a bit annoying.

Yeah, now that you are aware of this use it to your advantage. If you are outcome independent you can chase a girl for a bit (which can sometimes lead them to "run" ) and then just let go, stop calling her. You will be surprised how effective this is. Give it a few days and she will start to wonder. She will call you. She will chase you. If you have a busy enough schedule and other girls in your rotation, this will start to happen naturally as you just won't have enough time to keep up with calling everyone.
