Have you tried searching for some goofy gifs? That option had been working wonders for me, Joey from friends going "how you doin?" has been pretty well received. Keep it light and fun.

Edit: if doing this it can ramp it up if you tie it into her profile. I noticed a girl wearing a Ramones shirt so I sent a Ramones gif that said "Hey ho! Let's go!" Then typed "out for a drink!" That was well received. Also, if she's got some good profile information and actually put time into that, you can work with that and just type a message, but for no info/limited info the gifs work pretty well for me.

I just asked for similar advice on another thread so I am certainly no expert, but I recently shifted to an immediate polarization tactic. I say something like "hey so and so, you seem cool. Im not really into chit chat on here but I'd like meet up for a drink. You should send me your number and I'll set it up." Since I started skipping the opener I've received more numbers (and even been complimented on how bold I am) but I still get flaked on way too often, even after a date has been set.

Had a fun talk wit a female friend about online dating, and she said that she's getting so many messages that she can't answer all of them. If she does answer a message she takes time to do it, and therefore she's very selective. Her original comment was :I only reply if the guy interests me.

Basically saying that if she doesn't reply she's probably not interested at all.

I just go with "hey sup" Either I get unmatched or she responds. Once responding, they don't seem to care about the initial lame intro
