Outer game vs inner game?

I put this simply:

outer game: it is what you say / what you do / these things someone will see if they are looking at you. Based on these two things, they will say about you if you have "game" or not. The downside to this is that you have to learn (memorize) a few things, and for this reason, many guys don't like this concept of "outer game", they consider it difficult and even outdated so they are trying to skip it.
inner game: people cannot see it because it is about your mindset, how you should feel and think. The downside is that you won't wake up in the morning a new person, but it will actually take some time to digest these new ideas.

I grew up with Mystery's method which focus on the outer game and there are only a few basic ideas about the inner game. Shortly after Mystery, came out RSD guys, at first they said they didn't use Mystery's method, but in the paid product they admit to using scripts/routines. This is proof that you also need "outer game", but it is interesting that knowing what to say is powerful enough to get you talking to a woman, you just need a bit of courage (confidence).

This "confidence" thing is also tricky because at first will be competence (knowing what to say) and this will build confidence. It doesn't work the opposite. You can be the most confident person in the world, but if you do not know what to say, your confidence is worthless. On the other hand, if you learn what to do/say, confidence will come by itself.

As proof, just look at how many topics there are here on reddit about guys who go to the gym regularly, but they have trouble approaching girls and they don't understand what's happening, they just rely on looks, but that's not enough, they're not funny/playful. They don't have a natural charisma and this is perfectly normal for a beginner because you don't come into this world being funny/playful/charismatic, you have to learn from experience, or in the worst case you have to learn some routines/scripts until you become "natural". I don't know any shortcuts.

Inner game: everything about your inner self (confidence, self esteem, overall mental state). It’s harder to reach it because it requires a lot of inner work.

Outer game: everything which can be seen from the outside (self grooming, clothes, your ability to have a conversation). To some extent, I’d also include look/money/status, but take it with a grain of salt.

The two things don’t exclude each other, and the best way is to mix both.

But, at the end of the day, what really makes a difference is the inner game.

One of the biggest issues for young/inexperienced people is that they only focus on outer game because they see others having success. What they can’t see, however, is the inner game. That’s why a lot of people that only reaches decent outer game don’t have the expected success.

Inner game is something im still working on while i think i have outer game mostly covered. I feel like the simpler you make things the better. To me outer game is just being able to have conversations with anyone and build rapport naturally. Inner game is self esteem mostly and thats driven by your own values and ambitions and mindset. Mindset is #1 imo when you have a rock solid mindset that no one can shake you are golden and thats what I am working on. Also imo everyone should just go out and do it 4 the plot instead of reading this reddit all the time a lot of it is extremely autistic.

Inner game is everything related to confidence, self-esteem, self-worth, anxiety, fear, neediness, insecurity, limiting beliefs, shyness, jealousy, possessiveness, resilience, emotional stability, neediness,…

Outer game is everything related to social skills, flirting, creating connection, triggering emotions, comunicaron style, body language, gestures, teasing, escalating, building trust, rapport and comfort, projecting high value, dressing, self-grooming, being funny and humorous, acting dominant, daring, assertive and bold…

So the difference is the first one (inner game) is about what you think and feel about yourself, the second one (outer game) is about how you present yourself in front of others and how you interact with them.

You need both to be successful with women, but inner game is definitely more important. Inner game is spiritual and is about much, much more than getting laid. Women love men who love themselves. That’s literally all you need to know to be successful with women, regardless if you’re the Casanova type or Noah from the Notebook.

You can have all the outer game in the world , but then all you really are is a con artist who can get some short term lays but has no true fulfilment in his life or knowledge of himself. Strong inner game will translate to better outer game, but not vice versa. Trust me on this. Don’t let consumerism fool you.
