I'm a 27 year old guy from the UK.

I am not inexperienced with women - have been on 200+ dates from online dating since I was 22 and banged around 80 of them. However I still have crippling AA when trying to do Daygame in London.

Here's what I've tried:

- Positive visualisation (imagining approaches going well)

- Asking people for directions / other indirect openers to 'warm up'

- Reflecting on past successes with women to remind myself I am attractive

- Reflecting on general life successes & approaches I did make (I've done 40 or so before)

- Coaching (3 sessions with different daygame coaches actively trying to push me in)

- Trying to just say 'hi' to random strangers (which in the UK will get you some very bad reactions because that's not normal here, unlike in the USA).

None of it really worked. Even after having paid £200+ for a daygame session with a coach, I refused to approach 75% of the girls he asked me to. He later admitted he'd never really had AA (A thread I've noticed with basically every coach I've seen - they really cannot empathise with their students).

I've spent many many hours on the street & 90% of the time I'll just walk around for 2 hours without doing even ONE approach, even if the girl gives me an IOI.

I do not feel much physical anxiety, rather just a great aversion to doing it. It seems like an incredibly weird / autistic thing to do, & even though I know it can work as I managed to get a few dates from it, whenever I think about opening it feels like the earth will swallow me up & I'll die. I would rather be in a gun-fight than approach a girl as I find that far more scary.

Is there anyone here who overcame similar feelings? Once I can approach I'll be fine, but that first step I feel like my feet are concrete blocks & I freeze every time.
