The "argument" involved going to bed and telling her to sleep on the couch. 5 minutes and 10 instances of doors being slammed later, I was in dreamland.

Edit: This gets easier & easier. I remember not long ago cowtowing to any demand, argument, emotional blowup, or other disagreement. Now, I just realize I don't have any desire to play the game. As I told her this morning, if you're looking for a puppy dog or someone who explains himself at every moment, start looking elsewhere.

Used to think it was just being an asshole; now, I realize my time & energy are my own. If I don't want to waste energy on telling mount everest to move, I don't have to.

During her blowup, she screamed about how I'm "pulling the masculine shit". If that's not proof positive of doing the right thing, I don't know what is.
