I’m mid-20s, pretty attractive guy, no problem getting women, but I’m terrible at maintaining relationships with them. It’s almost like in order to deal with a woman I have to not respect myself in some way or another. I have a short tolerance for disrespect, being inconsiderate, just generally not treating people like humans. I try not to have expectations and check myself when I find it coming up in my mind, but at some point you have to look at blatant disregard for what it is.

Women will meet me (in person or online), give me their number after a good initial meeting/conversation, and then literally waste my energy/time texting for days/weeks, usually with no real intention of meeting or moving anything forward.

And god forbid I bring it to their attention that I don’t like wasting my time, or would rather meet in person soon as possible to save both our time/energy, or even that they’re making me feel like they’re not interested by texting me 24 hours later—and directly asking them “are you interested?” + for an explanation behind their actions…. Now I’m sassy, or don’t understand how unsafe they may feel, or I have nothing important going on in my life and don’t understand how busy this person is.

And onto the topic of blatant disrespect because she’s upset, or bc of miscommunication over text, or directly comparing me to other situations she’s been in the past & judging me… what the hell am I supposed to do about that? If a woman has an attitude with me and gets snappy/bitchy, I cannot ask her “why are you being disrespectful/bitchy?”. I can not disrespect her in return because I’m a man and “wouldn’t like someone to talk to my mother that way”. I can cut her off, but (personally) I’ve found that this is something you’re gonna have to deal with from most women this day & age. And are expected to kiss their ass or serenade them with flowers to help manipulate— I mean regulate their emotions after they just completely violated my manhood and pride with 2 sentences lol.

And just to clarify I’m speaking about women 20-25 that I personally have run into. I’m new to dating after a long term relationship and tryna wrap my head around wth is going on out here??? Maybe it is me. I was raised by woman and have a hard time understanding how men are supposed to be, so honestly looking for advice or if I’m looking at this all from some kind of fucked up lens in the first place???
