Yeah, as soon as any significant article of clothing comes off of her I take my shirt off. Sets a kind of expectation, and like you said then she doesn't feel weird or slutty being the only one getting undressed.

Having said that, isn't this just common practice? Wouldn't it be actively weird to not join in on the undressing? Once the making out starts, I never have a problem escalating naturally (and pretty quickly) - but that's just because I've been in relationships for 90% of my adult life. With everything else in pickup/seduction I'm very much an amateur, but once the "physical activity" is started, things are super easy and don't take any thought. I think there are two major components to getting from kissing to sex:
1. Assume that sex is going to happen. This is what my relationships really helped condition me for. From the time you start making out, be extremely sexual with it and don't be afraid to be forceful and dominant. As soon as you hesitate, the girl will sense it and SHE'LL start second guessing what you're doing and worrying about if it's moving too quickly. If you know that it's a good thing and broadcast that feeling, she'll feel the same way.
2. Don't jump immediately to fucking. I think this kind of goes with number 1. If you're anxious about if it'll happen or not you might rush to get there. Instead, just be as sexual as possible and let things naturally get there. For me, it's usually around 5-10 minutes from making out to sex. But that 10 minutes makes a big difference.
